What a wonderful rendition. The piece of music combines the structure and symmetries of Bach, and the lyricism of Liszt. ( Remember the original piece was written before the invention of the pianoforte.) Ms Pelliccioli plays it beautifully!

The repertoire, he performances ,the range, the versatility the experimentations make this a golden age of Music, and every time I turn to an artist new to me I am thrilled by the expansion of my experience and joy and this lady is one such . It is one of the few benefits of the computer. The is no limit to this musical world, with artists from all over the world. What a pity that politicians and the masses are not musicians, the world would be less troubled by buffoons and be free to enjoy performances like this.

It is well worth while listening carefully to the way she expounds the opening subject of the fugue. She treats it very much as a dance theme - three beats of surging legato motion followed by three well-marked beats akin to heavy foot steps on an imaginary floor. This pattern is then clearly brought out in each voice and at subsequent times in the piece. Clever isn't it?

Cantabilità limpida e pulita ma senza trascendere in toni neoromantici, bassi cristallini e presenti senza eccedere nel volume, tempo perfetto, equilibrio generale dell'esecuzione da ricordare. Rigorosa senza mai diventare algida o "notarile", coinvolta ma con pacatezza e profondità. Ma che bella esecuzione, sino ad ora la mia preferita per pianoforte. Bravabravabravabrava. Anche Liszt non ha esagerato (come invece Busoni sulla Ciaccona...)

The idea that Litz is imitating Bach's organ is really well translated to the piano. Consequently it is much more a piece by Litz than by Bach.

She articulates the bass notes with her left so perfectly. This is the only performance I’ve heard which does this which such precision and musicality.

I have never heard this piece played so well, and it is so clear, melodic and majestic played on this piano (Yamaha? and perfectly tuned), so much clearer and defined vs on organ. Greetings from Canada!
