I had my surgery done one week ago now. I had detached retina and had the full vitrectomy done with the scleral buckle. I have hade to concentrate much on keeping my head face down. I hope everything will turn out good. I wish you all the best with your recovery.
couldnt they re inject the Vitreous jelly back into the eye to support the re attached area?
I read on google somewhere…reply plz
Could be possible if subcunjunctival hemorrhage with no reason can be a warning sign of stroke or MI
It is coming back to me again and again is there any vitamin or supplement which can help
I need to schedule a third surgery to remove silicon oil and then im done with this crap!! If i knew this before i wouldn't have never had any surgery!!
just a question, are people with csr not allowed to lift?
No
I don't believe any of this stuff. My first shot was last month and it was very painful. Yesterday I got my 2nd one and it was extremely painful. So bad, I couldn't hold still so she stopped going all the way, then she gave more pain drops and i got a second shot that also hurt a lot but at least I could bear it. Today I had to take off work because of the pain and irritation. This has been a horrible experience for me and I may just say screw it, no more shots
Macular hole surgery
I have retinal dystrophy... can you please tell me if you have a chance for my condition to be treated? I would love to get enough sight back to drive again! I'm only 38 and up until 2012 I've had doctors do my DMV forms and say i could see with glasses but it never really helped. In California they discovered it was retinal dystrophy but I've been declared legally blind and had to go on disability din my automotive career.
Tengo dos semanas de mi operación pero todavia veo pasr ese reflejo de luz que se agranda
What Medicine is Used To Numb Eyes Before Injections??
Herzlichen Dank.
Do y’all do face up macular hole surgery?
as long as it is not detached leave all alone i mean your retina
leave things alone no surgery if you can still see TV do not have surgery for cataracts either 😮
Very thorough and helpful to my studies. Thanks!
I have app/nt takes place retina surgery Dr but,i requre another option
I had an injection a week ago. It helped tremendously. Only problem was that it BURNED like lava being poured on my eye right after, and they flushed it out for 10 minutes. They failed to mention that would happen. Still, better than going blind!
Dr Any progress in mactel 2 treatment
Im 39 male and got it in left eye. Its not bad, but noticable enough to be annoying. They said its very common and to come back in 2 months because it usually resolves on its own. I've been rubbing castor oil on eyelids before sleep (natural remedy i found) and eating cleaner cutting out refined sugars. They told me to avoid corticosteroids and stress because it builds cortisol. The only medication I've been on is hydrocodone painkiller for my knee from my motorcycle wreck last year. I only take it as needed but I just read that withdrawal from opiates can raise cortisol levels. So I'm guessing these micro withdrawals every time im between taking it is what's causing it? Since I only take it sporadically? Either way, I stopped taking it completely and will report back.
I'm 38. Just had it for one week in right eye. Waiting for hospital appointment
Hi. As it's been 4 months since you commented, i am curious to know if your CSR got resolved now?
Very straight forward video, calming and well spoken, many thanks. My main concern is if l will need to be face down. I cannot do face down due to back surgeries. What are my options Dr.
After watching this l don’t think l can go ahead with my surgery. My full problem is vitreous macular traction. EPI retinal membrane. If l need full face down l simply cannot do it due to several back surgeries not allowing me to do it. If l don’t get the operation what will happen. I am very scared.
What did you do? I have a bad neck! 😢
Ifriday i get one, but im scared for it, does it hurts?
I had my first eye injection was 1 month ago, tomorrow is my next appointment. The fist one hurt so much I have never felt such pain. How do I face up for my next one ?

Has anyone had NO FACE DOWN Macullar hole repair?? If so, your thoughts on this recovery
I’ve had five since January and it’s after I get home it feels gritty all day. Only once did my entire eye become red for over a week. My doctor is great he uses numbing drops then a shot to numb. He waits five minutes and does the actual shot of medicine. He rinses my eyes several times and does all these himself. The nurse prepares the tray with all the needles and items necessary. The doctor is so kind and shakes my hand each time I come in. He is very easy to talk to and answers all my questions. I wish I didn’t need the shots but I’m grateful for a great doctor.
I’m reading this and wondering why mine didn’t hurt. She didn’t use a device to hold my eye open and I never saw a needle. Just a little pressure when the meds went in and it was over. No post procedure issues either. Tomorrow is my second one so we will see if it was a fluke but it did help. There definitely is an improvement.
Anyway to stop delayed and progressive solar retinopathy? I think have that.
I can't stand anything going towards my eyes...i cringe when they dilute my eyes.
Is it possible electrostimulation improve the vision or stem cells?
Well done Dr. Fish!!
Thanks for your help!
Hello sir
Western medication forever can't effectively treat retinal artery occlusion and reverse it. Only God's mercy nano-medication that's based on God created man out of an extract of clay from ground should be the last-ditch treatment for retinal artery occlusion and/or retinal vein occlusion. If central pontine hemorrhagic stroke can be cured, retinal artery occlusion is small medical problem.
Hey guys! In Oslo Ulleval hospital after Retinal detachment they say you dont need any face down the next day after surgery. It is a standard advice to all. Who is clever here Norway or the rest of the world?
I had this done once, one of the side effects is that it can cause blood clots leading to a heart attack or stroke, I ended up with a heart attack caused by a blood clot
I am actually getting my procedure done on Monday morning. My vision in my right eye has improved little by little but certain colors are still a little crazy for me to look at when I do a self vision test. Im just glad that the worst part of it is finally over which is the initial pain I had in my right eye after it happened. It wasn't like a stabbing pain but more of a pressure pain and it was maddening to live like that. Its been a little over a month now and I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.
I hope your procedure went well? Was it cold laser? Are you in the US? I'm in the UK and they are telling me there's a global shortage of visudyne. They said the US had pre-ordered the first two years worth of supply, so I guess the US must have access to it now. Which hopefully means they can treat me in a few years time.
@@didibergman2306 I’m assuming it was cold laser. I didn’t need to get the IV prep they just numbed my eye really good and dilated my pupil. It was about a 15-20 minute process and I don’t have any restrictions. I was able to drive one the dilation drops wore off.
@@dolphingirl2009 That's wonderful, hope your eye stays CSR free and pain free!
@@didibergman2306 oh me too! I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. It’s a long road to recovery now but I’ll be glad when I’m back to 100% clear vision again
The person writes "procedure" but doesn't say what kind of procedure...oh my !
I been having this about 2 years now .. every 6 months my eye dr tells me it’s gonna go away on its own .. but it never does
What is your case now
It's works I did for three years thank you wye doctors for what y'all do!
Injections are used to treat this. Every patient responds differently but there is a treaty

Can anyone explain why there is a global shortage of Visudyne? My CSR can't be treated because of the shortage and my distortion is getting bad. Internet says if left untreated it WILL lead to permanent vision loss. They gave me anti-vegf injections for 4 years and they always helped with the metamorphopsia, (they thought I had wet MD) now they say it's CSR (after an angiogram) they say the injections won't work, but I understand that the injections ARE used to reduce the fluid in CSR so I feel like I'm being gaslit. They always asked if I thought the injections were working and I always said yes. If I didn't think they were working I wouldn't have subjected myself to them!
You can find PDT in Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore, India.
Producing it is expensive and the market became too small. It was used on elder people for retinal degeneration, but then the introduction of drugs like lucentis made visudyne obsolete for those applications. Long story short, it is now made only in the US and not in EU anymore, and this leads to shortage.
@@premierfeltmfgco.4151 Bit of a trek from the UK!
I have this disease, but it has left scars in my ratina. How can we treat it.
My dad went through 2 yrs of painful injections to supposedly help his macular degeneration - Avastin only left him with permanent scarring.. which the scareing from reaction to Avastin ledt my dad blind …. Now what can we do??
My dad went through 2 yrs of painful injections to supposedly help his macular degeneration - Avastin only left him with permanent scarring
ive had them for over eight years every six weeks...nothing painfull about them. i go on the bus alone and come home on the bus....some people just have the need to scare people or be a martyr and feed on sympathy
That is the problem - is it really useful, or just big farma interest.. No changes after first shoot
Morning of injection….No COFFEE. Then I take 2 Benadryls. Nice and relaxed. “Piece of cake”.
The truth is, once you get eye problems, your going to suffer horribly, and you will lose your vision anyway . It happened to me. Started with cataract surgery. That started it all. I hate to tell you this, but the truth is, life is a hideous thing . Dont have kids. Its not anywhere near worth it.
Poor or seriously disabled people should never have kids. I have realized human is full of miserable especially when you are poor. No kids my choice. I spent money on myself and stray cats.
