    What s the use of comparing a travel 6 string to a 12 string and a full body Martin acoustic? Ive taken my Washburn Rover on multiple trips now. Way fun. It needs the strap because there isn t a body to lean on ... 😅 It sort of has a nice dark sound to it when played finger style. Somewhat more trebly and snappy on light gauge pics. Neck s rather brilliant. Sort of full size, handgull sturdy mahogony neck on mine. I can do neck runs on it. Kudoos. Way fun thing.

      @NoLimitsNoRegrets День тому

      since it's hard to get real sound/volume over video, i thought comparing it to the 6 and 12 would just be a relative scale for what ppl can expect, i.e. don't expect a full body martin sound from a rover. agreed on the strap, picked one up just a few weeks ago and much easier to play! overall, yes very happy, easy neck to play, etc.

    I love your channel - absolutely love it. I've been watching for a little over a year and there's never - ever a time when I walk away without learning something. I've been dealing with some unrelated health matters of late and also had some high levels where liver enzymes are concerned: AGT 759, AST 402. Thankfully my latest labs have them falling: AGT 512, AST 351 as of this week. Fortunately we know its due to side effects of medication I started a couple months ago - needless to say, no longer on those meds. My husband had MVR (repair) in November and your channel has been absolutely illuminating. Yes, I know it sounds corny but you're an inspiration. I'm not sure if you know how much these videos help us viewers. Thank you.

    I have cardiomyopathy and a defibrillator and pressure to go back on Entresto by a cardiologist I’d newly engaged with. I’d tried it three years earlier but it knocked me about and GP agreed I could just take one of its active ingredients. Starting six months ago I persevered but quality of life plummeted and I had every known side effect big time. I was fainting while sitting down in public and taken by ambulance to A&E and syncope diagnosed. 12:36 I went off every medication cold turkey and three days later felt somewhat better and now six weeks later no longer feel I am dying. I have added back each of my meds one by one weekly and nothing has hurt me like Entresto did. I’ve seen my cardiologist and he’s in agreement with my actions. I wish I’d never heard of Entresto and by the way, as I am in Australia and 82 with no private health insurance, it costs $6.70.

    • @NoLimitsNoRegrets
      @NoLimitsNoRegrets 9 днів тому

      i've heard of other ppl with problems like i had that went on individual components like that. i felt the worst in my life on entresto, same fainting, dizziness, just miserable, quit taking the meds (see other video) 10 days or so after starting them. big improvement. entresto and farxiga as showing in the meds video plus plavix was $1200 for me WITH insurance, and plavix is all i'm taking now.

      thanks, and great to hear these are serving as a good resource for others. as far as long term plans, there have been a lot of developments and update videos since this one, and it's very clear there's no point in saving for 20 years. the risk i've seen in similar cases is false hope leads to failure to enjoy the time left, and i'm trying to be very logical and make decisions based on facts and most likely outcome. each patient has a very personal journey and how we handle it.

    Have you tried stem cells to clean up the fibrosis at the point of surgery? They're not cheap but also doable. I had them and they helped my breathing and a lot of other elements of my vascular system. I'm also doing dry fasting right now to heal and shrink tissues in my heart. Dry fasting has given me hope again. I'm also going to be going to do hyperbaric oxygen therapy since it helps heal tissue. I totally get that you're working towards happiness and limiting input on this issue. I go through this every day too. I wish the best of luck to you and thank you for the informative video.

    That is NOT how you release a strap. You open it fully and push the "handle" all the way back and it locks the rachet in the open position so the strap can be pulled out easily. Also, always been told by bike mechanics that it is never good idea to secure your bike with the suspension under load. You should always secure your straps "below" the suspension such as lower down on the forks below where the shocks travel.

    • @NoLimitsNoRegrets
      @NoLimitsNoRegrets 19 днів тому

      i've heard that about lower on the fork attachment too, but you need the leverage up higher to keep it from falling over sideways with this setup. to do that you'd need some kind of a front wheel brace that keeps the bike from tipping.

    Did you consider having valvuloplasty, Ross or at least mechanical instead of sticking to tissue valves? Wouldnt it be better?

    • @NoLimitsNoRegrets
      @NoLimitsNoRegrets 23 дні тому

      Lots of history, but the first surgery was an attempt to repair native valves, gave out 4 days later, chordae were trashed he said. i went with tissue as there were no limits on daily life, no blood thinners, diet constraints, etc. this last time, we had the discussion again on mech vs. tissue. i did more research, and still took the tissue approach, not only for the quality of life day to day, but you do have higher stroke risk with the mech valves and have to be really careful about your blood thinness meds, testing, results, etc. the way mine is failing now coming loose at the edge, a mechanical would've had the same issue. had i gone mechanical the first time, i may have had a lot less issues, but daily life would not have been as enjoyable and the higher risk of stroke. to each their own, this is just what i've chosen.

      Thanks for the feedback, and great to hear! Of course, the videos are in order in the Casual Sense playlist, so the one before this will be CS111, and the next one posting next week will be CS113 on how to use all this to build a budget. the CS111 link is ua-cam.com/video/rv6XS3Qr3nI/v-deo.html and the videos include links to the previous and next videos on the cards in the corner too. Enjoy!

      at the time of that video, i knew that i wouldn't get another open heart, so 10 years would be the max i'd get. if you've watched any of the latest videos, my heart is now failing, so time is very limited for me now.

    I have a 2017 Aprilia RSV4 RR and I try to do launch control by pinching both of the buttons and it’s not working. Does anyone know why that could be? I would’ve thought maybe the plus and minus buttons weren’t working but when I press them it does go up and down.

    • @NoLimitsNoRegrets
      @NoLimitsNoRegrets Місяць тому

      i'd say first make sure you're using the instructions in the manual for your specific bike as it may be different than mine. may not just be those buttons, but clutch, full throttle, gear vs neutral, all the other things too. if you're doing everything per the manual, little things like clutch switches, brake switches, etc. might be failing.

    Thank you for this. I need to have a mitral valve fixed or replaced. I am 77 in good health, but scared $Hit. I never had surgery my whole life. I do have Afib, the Dr thinking it’s from the valve. I had the TEE done and next is a Cardiac catheterization as a precaution. I shake thinking of open heart surgery to do this.

      if you're in good health, you're in a lot better place than i am right now. stay as relaxed and healthy as you can going into it. trust the doctors, do what they tell you, and come out the other side in a better place. recovery is rough, just take it slow and you'll be good.
