2017 was a great year for being in the outdoors. So many great trips and learning more about the wilderness of North Carolina. This is just a short video of some of the trips we went on before going on deployment. 2018 is just around the corner... We will be back soon to continue our mission.

Newbie here. I've had one camping attempt and got bogged 3 times and stood in a huge ants nest, lol. So when I tried to unpack the tent, there was no tarp to lay down underneath the tent. Is the tarp for a particular reason?
I always like to put a tarp down for another protective layer for the bottom. And it also helps with keeping the bottom of the tent clean. Necessary? Ehh.. not really but I always do!

Could someone tell me the different pole lengths? My tent came without the poles. Looked like someone returned the tent. I didn't even try setting up the tent until 8 months after I bought it, so I can't return it. It looks like a really nice tent, so if someone would be kind enough to measure the poles, I should be able to buy some replacement poles. Thanks!

Nope. You'll get more air ventilation that way too.

Jackie Lee , I believe you would be able to do that. I have had 2 cots , a cooler, and all my camping gear fit with room to spare

You have the rain fly upside down. Poles should be protected under the rain fly.
lol you set up rain fly opposite way round. Two poles have to stay underneath the rain fly. You have that velcro ties, they go over the main poles. I just bought it couple weeks ago from Field and stream. It was 70USD. Well worth it. We went on on night stay in Cave run lake under heavy rain and it holds it pretty well. Now what I dont like is that the bottom tarp material is not going to the walls at least 4 inches. Also the part covering the entrance is not there. Other than that no complains. Good for 70USD, for 199 I would look at something else.

Do the windows have mesh on them ? If they stay open ? They have mesh or no mesh?
Anthony Muro yes they do have mesh and it is a separate zipper. So air flow can come in pretty well!

Anthony Muro , I like it a lot! I’ve used it for a deer camp this past season and it had enough room for a heater, cooler and two cots. It’s also great for family camps too.

Nobody shows setting it up from the beginning to end, how much effort it takes to set it up?

Is this comfortable for side sleepers?
Owen Broadwell I’m a side sleeper and it works alright. I sometimes have a cot I put the pad on and a sleeping bag. But it does the trick.

Sven backpackers saw. Weighs less and makes short work of firewood. Just got back from a one nighter into the Birkhead Wilderness. Did an 11 mile loop and really enjoyed it. I was hammock camping with a 40 degree underquilt and it dropped to 32. Got a little chilly just before sunrise. Thanks for the vid.
How cold would it be good in, I'm going to go camping in around 10 degrees with a good sleeping bag.
I took it on a trip and it got down to 18 degrees and worked fine. When its that low in temperature its going to be cold regardless, so it more so depends on what sleeping system you have. When it comes to wind, it does well; so if its windy where you are going camping, you will be fine!

I have the same tent. Ussed it in a backpacking trip in colorado. I absolutely love it. You can also roll the rain fly doors open too 😜
You have the rain fly on wrong side up your poles should be under it not over. Instructions help for this

You had the rain-fly upside down, Those poles should be on the under side of the rain-fly. Purchased the same tent this past weekend can't wait to use it.

Raykell Foster it rained off and on and we didn’t have any issues. We did lay a tarp down for the tent to set on but it was all dry on the inside.
A 9mm in a tent? Those kinds of comments help localize these videos pretty quick.

looks like the 1.0 / one man version maybe. I just bought the 1.0. I will take it out in two days but so far it's looks great, I like it. (for others reading this: I'm 6'1", 225 Lbs and I fit fine. Could also hold a dog or one smaller person if it had to. Two "D" doors, one per side are great; The side vestibules are TINY however (my only slight disappointment) almost impossible to store a backpack; just boots, etc can fit there; nice carry sack, easy setup, good zippers, poles & stakes, instructions are sewn into stuff sack; NICE TENT for $72 on Amzn.)
Hello Marty, thanks for the video, I wanted to ask what the inside width is? I've read anywhere from 32 to 36 inches wide. Can you help with that?
Its going to depend slightly, and I didn't check to see what the width was. Im going to agree with closer to 36 inches though. there is wiggle room with a pad, and small pack at the foot of the tent. Honestly its great for the money and super durable.
