Massive water moccasin at Buford Spring 😱

Me and Vanessa were swimming at Buford Spring until this thing showed up. It was heading right towards us and not afraid of us. Needless to say we high tailed it for the ladder to get out.

I'm curious since you're close to where I'm at. Has anyone stop you with having a trolling motor on the SUP ? I've been told that you need to register if you plan on using a trolling motor. The fine is around $140 if you don't.
Very nice can you tell me how you connected the PVC mount to your board and are you having any problems with it moving while running the motor? Thanks
I just used velcro straps to some D rings already on the board we sometimes forget them but as long as your not in white caps you should be fine
Top speed?
4ish mph for the 55lb thrust trolling motor at max speed.
It is a year later. I'm curious to how the pvc held up under the weight pressure over time. I also want to say of all the motor and mounting possibilities, I am copying yours almost exclusively. Thanks for the video
It is holding up great. I forgot to mention in the video that I am using wood dowels inside the pvc for strength and longevity.
Making and SUP with provision for a rudder/motor, or a sail, or sculling oars.
Fiberglass tube and 0.125 G10 sheet would be stronger and lighter. Looks clean.
Made one for 11'6" board. Works great. Have 60 amp battery
Awesome
No no no 😮
How do you reach the Tiler to increase/reduce speed and to turn motor off etc? Sitting in the centre of the board doesn't look like you can reach the motors Tiller.
I'm 6'2" so if your shorter reaching back can be a pain on the shoulders. The tiller does extend out anouther 6 inches I have also purchased an 18 inch extension tubing for sharper turns. I still use this setup especially on windy days or rivers with lots of winding turns and a fast current, but its heavy. My go to now is a bixpy setup only about 10 pounds compared to 50 pounds including battery. I did have to glude on a mount to the board though. Hope this helps.
I bought one for my fiance and it started going bad after a few weeks
