Who was in the wrong? I entered into the left turning lane when it was allowed (broken lines). A transformer plant at Finch and 400 is on fire. There is no news on what caused it. People are without power from Finch and Keele,Finch and Jane,Finch and Weston,Finch and Sheppard. Police have the area (intersection to Signet Dr where the plant is) blocked off in all directions

It was probably a lack of maintenance, or a lightning strike that happened since the last maintenance interval, damaging the electrical insulation.
Benjamin Esposti it was the mineral oil inside the transformer. Because of the heat and humidity it boiled and exploded. An update on the cause was on CP24
