Well explained 👏 Thank you!
thank you so much Engineer!!!
@@jemsyvv well first, the given dead load is not “superimposed” hence we can conclude that it is total dead load. In board exam: the beam weight is not given, unless you memorized the whole weight then you can calculate the beam weight 😅 In actual design: As a designer, I know for sure, where those values came from hence, you know wether that given load includes selfweight or not.
Sir thank you for the video! may I ask if may sample problem po kayo for compression
baka ikaw lg tgalaga ung nakita kong may porblem solving sa gantong topic sa steel huhuhu. salamat po kaso iba lang pagkaka solve kasi ibang book ung base nyo kami kasi nscp so nominal hole diameter plus 2 talaga kami salamat po
@@jgja1931 the 2mm additional states in NSCP is same in AISC (1/16”) which for standard holes. However, NSCP did not include the commentary in AISC which also states that additional 1/16” shall be added for damage related in punching or drilling of holes. Hence the effective hole shall be. Diamter of bolt + 1/16” (standard hole) + 1/16” for damage allowance. Or Diamter of bolt + 1/8”. Technically, by converting it is db+ 3.175mm. Hope it clears your doubt. ☺️

Thank you po!
Doubts cleared, but what language is that

Saan nakuha yung 3.2 sa unang problem
based sa nscp code 2001, use 4 na lang po, yun po for nscp 2015
Question lang po.
thank you po sir!
paano nakuha yung s²/4g sir

Good day Engr. Santos, sir please upload or update your playlist po sa steel design. Thank you po
Good day po Engr. Santos. May I ask po sir kelan kayo mag a-upload ng other videos nyo dito sa playlist ng steel design? sobrang need lang po. Thank you :)

San po nakuha ung 3.2?
Ty po engr. Pumasa napo ako
Congratulations engineer 😊😊😊
Thank you very much sir june sa series of free lecture nyo, parte po kayo ng pagiging RCE ko. More power and God bless po sir! ❤️
Congratulations engineer!!!! 😊😊😊
Correct me if I'm wrong sir. If the diameter hole only I think we need to add 1/16 inch or around 1.6mm in SI but others rounded it up to 2mm to make it more conservative. And if diameter bolt was given we have to add 1/8 inch (twice of 1/16) or around 3.2mm and so others also used 4mm to get the most critical net area.
Yes you may.
