So doctors are famously difficult to work with because they are mostly ego maniacs... good to know.

This is an every day occurrence at the nursing home I work in. There's always that one daughter who isn't happy. We've had a daughter call state several times, yet nothing happens, and she keeps her mom there .. like girl, stop.

If the child doesnt like it they are welcome to make him not ur job u tried and its not possible to fight someone unwilling if there child wants it then they need to deal with it

I feel this. I live with my 98 y/o grandma who never wants to get out of bed anymore. Nurses tell us it’s fine, let her sleep but my daaaaad is always like “sHe nEEds TO get Up!!!” 🤦🏻‍♀️

And then family comes in and accuse you of being lazy when it was the PATIENT who repeatedly refuses the up down or OT schedule.

they tricked my husband into sitting up in a recliner about 5 hrs after his open heart surgery. the nurse was like "we need you to sit up for a while"....after she got him in the chair he asked her for how long he had to sit there she said "5 hours"....and he did

Yes but also old nurses. Nobody loves stripping autonomy from patients like old nurses.
