Encountering B.C.’s wildfire definitely aching my heart. I saw fire on mountains and blowing smoke everywhere. I came to Alberta for vacation. Since Calgary is getting covered with smoke this week, I had to change to my plan and made another road trip plan to Vancouver cause there’s no smoke right now. I verified checking between apps & news updates and decided to drive B.C. and spend the week ...

He's so beautiful! Your tank isn't the best for him though. Betta fish need filters, heaters, and bigger tanks (five gallons). Without that he's going to become lethargic and loose his color over time.

Thanks so much! It's a baby betta now, I'm planning to get a bigger one with a heater soon. Btw, how many times do you feed a baby betta? I think it's 5/6 pallets per day?

@@livelaughmore1560 I also have Mavic Mini, since you are beginner at this, here's some tips for your flights (this might too long for you to read, because i sums up everything for anyone that has Mavic Mini need to know, you may already know some of them) : *1.Set your antenna's position correctly* Always pointing the WIDE PART of your remote's antena directly to your drone when flying, NOT the top narrow pointy part, BUT the wide part of your antenna, don't get it wrong, otherwise your signal will messed up, you can search "correct antenna drone position" image on google so you understand it better Or you can just click right here : images.app.goo.gl/zsq14L7UxtLbuoV68 *2.Always keep your Visual Line of Sight (VLOS)* Don't depend on the camera view, because you never know the obstacles around your drone if you just depends on your camera, which has very limited visual around it, compare to your own eyes It also means, don't fly too far, in case anything happens (probably your drone will get accident such as hit something or lost signal and not coming back), you will have hard time to find your drone if it crash / lost signal far away from you. Usually around 400 meters you will barely see it, so if you almost can't see it, stop it right there, don't push it too far from your eyesight *3.Turn on the airplane mode on your phone when you attached your phone at your remote control* You actually don't need wifi / internet or gps on your phone, because even without your phone attached to the remote control, your drone can still return to home, because Mavic Mini and it's remote has independent GPS inside them to determine their location In fact, when you turn on any signal on your phone (such as Internet, Wifi, GPS, Bluetooth, etc) it will increase signal interference between your remote and your drone, which will increase the risk of weak signal even signal loss So yeah, you can fly, control your drone and return to home as usual even without your phone attached on remote, you only need your phone if you want to view the drone camera's view at your phone display, and you only need GPS and Wifi / Internet on your phone if you want to view GPS drone's location on your phone's display more precisely, which is something you don't really need except you want to flying your drone far away from your eyesight, which i mention before, is not recommended anyway 4.You also need to remember, your *Return To Home's location is the last take off location of your drone* So if you move from the last take off location, it will not come back at you, it will back at the last take off location So everytime you move far away from your last take off location, always update your return to home's location in your settings *5.Always set your limit (distance and altitude limit) on the settings* This is to prevent your drone so it wouldn't go too far away, just in case you just didn't realize your distance while flying until it gets really far, it also useful to hold it's limit just in case there is really strong wind that can swapt away your drone, so your drone will holding on it's limit position to fight strong winds *6.Remember this rule, the higher your drone flies (higher altitude), the stronger the wind it gets* Don't make stupid desicion to flying too high (above 100 meters / 300 feet), especially at windy weather ! Just in case, if you caught strong winds and your drone is getting away by those winds, immidiately *change your speed to Sport Mode* and lower your altidude (go down) as fast as you can and guide your drone back to your direction simultaneously. If it's too hard for you, just lower your altidude first to safe altitude (at least 10 meters / 30 feets) then you can guide it safely to your position *7.If you flying your drone on urban areas (full with signal interference), set your transmission manually to 5.8ghz* This is to avoid other Wifi signal which has average transmission about 2.4 ghz that can cause interference, but *if you at the open area* (like nature, beach, etc, free from signal interference), *use 2.4 ghz transmission* for better range (up to 2-4 km / 6500-13000 ft) compared with 5.8 ghz which only can reach up to 500 meters / 1600 ft only *8.Also, if you flying your drone on urban areas, keep the distance between your drone and residential area (like houses, which will likely had wifi that can mess your signal) at least 50 meters from it* So if house's average height is 10 meters, you want to set your drone's altitude up to 60 meters on it, the higher your drone, the less signal interference you get, you also received alot more gps at higher altidude, which will give you better signal, but remember to be careful with stronger winds at high altitude, as i mention before *9.Don't flying your drone near unusual / reflective surface, metal objects and birds* *Reflective surface* : Water Surface, Sand, etc. These can confused your bottom sensors, which will likely to make your drone landing uncontrollably to unwanted place *Metal object* : Cell towers, any kind of metal structures These can messing up your compass calibration, which will affects your drone's orientation to move, which will likely leads to crash *Birds* Keep your distance from birds, especially bigger birds or crowds / swarm of birds, as they can be so territorial, or simply feel threatened so easily. Birds have enough force to takedown your drone. So don't take a risk to flying your drone near them, immediately fly away from them when there is sign of aggression *10.Deactivate "Payload Mode" and don't use propeller guards when you flying your drone at high altitude* Keep in mind, when you flying with propeller's guards, it will possibly activated "Payload Mode" automatically. Payload Mode is not good at high altitude (high sky) which has strong winds, it will increase flyaway (getting swapt away) by winds, because the motor power is getting reduced in that mode Payload mode is only useful when you add some extra weights to your drones (such as propeller guards or anything that your drones could carry) at low altitude, for more stable hover while you carry those loads So if you planning to fly at high altitude, don't use propeller's guards, and make sure "Payload Mode" is disabled at your "Settings", otherwise your risk of flyaway by winds is increased due to slow and steady power settings from "Payload Mode" Only use propeller's guards if you want to fly indoors or if you only fly at low attitude (no more than 10 meters / 30 feet, which is safe altitude / strong wind-free altitude) *11.If your battery about 20-40 percent, make sure your drone is not fly too far away or too high from you* Your drone's motor power to fly is *reduced (weaker)* when it's *below 40 percent* , compared when its more than 40 percent, so it has *higher risk* of flyway by strong winds (as i mention before, the higher your drone fly, the stronger the wind it gets), or cannot make it to return to home fast enough when it too far, due to speed reduces *12.Consider to buy signal booster equipments* Mavic Mini is *Wifi transmission drone* , Unlikely other DJI Mavic Series which use Occusync system, so it has *higher risk for signal interference even signal loss* , especially if you flying at urban areas or there is any obstacles (trees, walls, etc) between your drone and your remote control (especially if your mavic mini is CE version (when you buy it outside U.S.A country), which is weaker version when it comes to signal strength than the FCC version (USA Version)) So for long term benefit, consider to buy *signal boosters (Yagis and Parabolics are the most popular choice)* if you want more sustainable flying, and to prevent / reduce signal lost risk *13.Using hacks* There is also hacks to change CE version (if that's indeed your drone version) to FCC version for double signal strength. For more details about this, watch this video : ua-cam.com/video/OQtED52J-1c/v-deo.html Then after you watch it, download DJI Fly App 1.0.8 version outside your appstore / playstore and use it for this hack. You cannot use this hack anymore at the latest version, because they already fixing this issues *KEEP IN MIND !* When you did this hack, your drone's warranty is not usable anymore when you need it, due to it's illegality, so do this at your own risk ! *14 For photography / cinematography tips* (to maximize your cinematography potential) i can't explain all of it, but you can watch these video, they did great job for explain this topics : *ua-cam.com/video/Z5Zbkl3JJy4/v-deo.html* *ua-cam.com/video/hpGVW3PWJeE/v-deo.html* *15.Last but not least, find out about your local regulation in your country* Just because Mavic Mini's weight below 250 grams, doesn't mean you can flying it all you want without considerations, you must follow the rules of your local regulation, otherwise you'll deal with the law sooner or later Each country has different regulation, some country are strict about drone's regulation, and some country don't. Each regulation has the purposes. In general, governments try to reduces human error which already creates so many unnecessary incidents from years ago since the existence of drones. So don't be jerks and follow the rules ! Save these tips if you want to read them anytime If you had questions about these tips, or anything related to mavic mini or other tips to fly drones, let me know ! It will be my pleasure to share my thoughts ! 👍🏻
