I personally feel that it's the other way around. The neurodivergent people are the ones who are the animals. My friend, let's call him S, is an arctic fox. D is a red panda. I am a cat. E is a raccoon. My mom's a cat, too. She's a Maine Coon. Not in reality, though. They just have similar personality traits to their animal. I usually tell them what their animal is, if they want to know it. Everyone else is a human, though.

As a person who is diagnosed with autism, this feels pretty connecting. I'm considered 'high functioning'. My guardians know I'm diagnosed with Autism, ODD, Aspergers, Social Anxiety, Combined ADHD(ADHD+ADD), and depression but they act like I'm not. At 2:36 reminds me of how my guardians often ask, 'What's wrong with you?' or 'Are you crazy?'. I generally have problems and they refuse to acknowledge it. I'm 14 and still can't tell my left from right, and have a hard time thinking before acting. I remember seeing this short film before, when I was 11 or 12. I didn't really understand it. At 5:04 I also felt a connection. I've never really felt like my guardians are my real parents nor that I belong with them. Especially not my step-grandfather. He's greedy, self-centered, and mean. My grandma wants me to acknowledge him as family, and as a grandfather, but he never will be to me. I think family is who you're biologically related to.

It seems only Americans make funny cartoons with interesting characters and a plot. What's up with that? I think somebody needs to show the French a Bugs Bunny or Pink Panther cartoon and see if they get the concept of amusement.

I've never been diagnosed with autism. But somehow I wish I was. Because there would be a reasonable explanation for my struggles and challenges. I know children and people with autism are not very accepted. But others understand and respect autism more than sensitivity. People tell me to toughen up. But no matter how hard I try, my body and mind can't take it 😢

I have/had autistic family members and while I'm not autistic myself, I'm on the neurodivergent scale and get overstimulated by too much noise or I'm called stupid because my way of things is different. So this made me teary eyed; love it

That table scene really hit me. I always hated being there, what more at Thanksgiving or Christmas when my friend would come over but I was not allowed to leave. I had to sit there, listen, and wait patiently and quietly as they talked about "what was wrong with me" in front of me and her until I was dismissed or she convinced my mother to let me go.

Я конечно не болею аутизмом, немного другая болезнь, но тут и на себя дальнюю отсылку нашел... Очень задело, слезу аж пустил... Если глубже глянуть в смысл, что хотели показать- то прям правдоподобно... Идеально сделаная анимация! Аутизм походу у ребенка... Это очень печально... Семья страдает, сам ребенок, другие дети и люди... Рыдает ребенок и его семья- каждый раз... Многие становятся свидетелями всего этого... Себя напомнило, но у меня другая болезнь... "Тяжелая Фокальная и Симптоматическая Эпилепсия"... Тоже не лечится... Стараюсь меняться и двигать свою жизнь за другими людьми, но тяжело это... Ощущаю что я в стороне общества, я другой, не отношусь к людям... Таких как я- избегают чаще всего, хотя я человек, человек и есть... Просто частые припадки приступов... Но многие, когда становятся свидетелями, часто слыхал от них что "аж поседели"... Приходится часто помалкивать, скрывать свои проблемы по здоровью... Но чудом, находятся люди, друзья, семья, которые всегда помогут, поддержут... 15 лет борьбы за выживание (мне 21)... Это не пустые слова... Приступы чуть ли не каждый день... Они дошли до такого уровня, что я говорить, понимать цифры, слова перестаю во время приступов... Мне от этого все больше страшнее становится... К примеру: Имею хороших, милых племяшек, с которыми скучно не будет, всегда весело нам вместе уроки учить... А как опять кошмар начинается у меня, то ужасную вину чувствую, до слез, что такой дядя попался им, что они свидетели вечно... Но те не перестают уговаривать чтоб не беспокоился насчёт этого, что я хороший дядя, всегда поддержут... Те кто был свидетель- открываю им глаза на этот мрачный мир... Я не виноват, но все равно: я чувствую большую вину... Остается всей нашей семье- смриться, выживать дальше, ждать новостей хороших от медицины... "Если Бог послал мне эти испытания, значит он знает, что я все их выполню, без исключения" (Для всех людей: почему-то количество Эпилепсиков растет... Хотя заразы от нее никакой нет, от нее невозможно заразится... Так что советуется первую помощь для Эпилепсиков знать при таких обстоятельствах...)
