This is so you can have separate layers for a 4 color screen print? Not sure why one would separate an image into spot color layers...

You never put a white underprint under darker colors? Subprint separation looks like a gradient map with tonal transitions. I'm asking out of curiosity, I always make a 100% solid layer under the entire graphic.
