This channel is about the other part of life. The pursuit of our passions and adventure be they big or small. This part of life should be explored and pursued now, regardless of age. While this channel will have a focus on outdoor and off road adventures, commonly call overlanding, it is far from limited to that. We will seek adventure from remote areas, cities and towns, oceans and even find it in everyday life.
Come join us and make your life and adventure!

Box Canyon, Off Roading with Family and a Belgian Malinois and Lunch in Wickenburg...A Perfect Day?
On my map road 237 goes to Snake Gulch rim, not the Grand Canyon rim.
Unlikely you're still reading comments after so long, but just in case...Good for you for making this a family affair. Love seeing good people in the world. There's not enough of them, so good on you. I found your video by trying to find this spot so I can take my young sons (and Labrador).
Do you have the full gpx file from OnX? Can you share please.
Underdog Motorsports is awesome! Brett and Shane installed the upgrades on my old 4Runner and now my new (‘23) GX460 - looking forward to checking out this trail in the Lexus! Thanks for the vid :)
I'm moving to Mesa from NJ next month. Extremely exited at how close this trail is to where I'll be living! Subscribed for some awesome AZ off roading content!!
This Jersey Girl loves your NY accent. Thanks for sharing this beautiful drive!
Can you camp there?
Crazy it’s all maintained now, in the seventies it was a rugged road, I still have the 78 Toyota FJ-40 I used to drive on it. Doesn’t even look like you need four wheel drive at all
5th gen lol dam my boy where you get that unreleased taco from 😂
Thats a 3rd gen
I say that to people occasionally, and they just look at me with a blank look like "whuh?".
Can't wait to install mine
Terrific video of an awe-inspiring location and region. I appreciate that you went through the effort to give those who lack the ability toget there in person a chance to see it through your experience.
Is a ford explorer able to do this?
You don't need modifications for this trail. I've been to the top and back down with a stock XJ (when it was stock), and a stock 3/4 Ton truck. Except for when it's muddy, there aren't really any places on that specific trail where you absolutely need 4WD, just maybe a little clearance. Try going the other direction to Sycamore Creek - turn left (west) instead of right (east) off of the 87. Go past the little dam. You won't get stuck if you stay out of the soft sand in the creek bed. There are some really cool places to go back there... and some of them are fairly difficult for mostly factory vehicles.
So very true! Time is now, today is all we have, make it count! Today is the day of salvation! Make your relationship with Christ count. Nothing else matters as much!
I love your message. Life is short. Will you remember all the weekends you ran errands and cleaned house in 20 years? Or would you remember the time you and your kids drove out to the wild desert to explore? ❤
Thank you for the comment! It really helps my desire to create more content. I've always tried to inspire my kids to explore but I always thought I had plenty of time. It wasn't till I had open heart surgery in 2019 that I really realized how quickly things can change. I hope I can help other realize that sooner than later in their life.
How do we rent cabin name of place or person that rent it out, also do they let you rent cabin with the dogs and Do you need to have 4wd or is 2wd drive possible to go on that trail, and name of trail and location please
The link to the cabin is in the description below the video. Best directions I could give you is in the vid. I used Onx Off Road and took Buffalo Ranch to North Rim Grand Canyon. If you search that in OnX or even google it will pop up. Hope you go. It was amazing! If you have a higher clearance vehicle, 2WD may be able to make. I recommend 4wd.
@@thesecondhalf5823 cool man thx i have 2002 Tundra TRD,it has the clearance but not 4wd and i also have on X on my phone already i appreciate it for getting back to me 👍👍👍
@@perdedor319 you should be fine. Especially if you have some experience taking it off road. Just be mindful of the weather. Enjoy!
@perdedor319 the cabin was dog friendly when I rented it btw.
Sir, thank you for this video and your insight. Love seeing how these adventures bring your family together. I have a Tacoma and we pile the dogs and kids in and travel to unknown locations to have these memories cause you only have one shot at this. Would you mind messaging me the name of this overlook. We are planning on heading to a few spots in the Grand Canyon-Parashant area but this looks gorgeous. Thank you again
Thanks Ryan! I'm running a Tacoma now too! I love it. As for the the name of the overlook, I honestly don't know. Best directions I could give you is in the vid. I used Onx Off Road and took Buffalo Ranch to North Rim Grand Canyon. If you search that in OnX or even google it will pop up. Hope you go. It was amazing!
Thanks for the info and great family friendly video. We are taking our kids out west and have been looking for remote areas, off grid places and back roads for boondocking and sight seeing nature. I am allergic to fragrances and chemicals, and don’t do well around a lot of people. Love y’all’s videos!
My pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it. More coming soon!
We are going down in 2 weeks. I've been all through the slot canyon areas. Much of this was part of the Gulf of California in the distant past.
Looking forward to going back again soon myself. I have so much more to explore.
Can I join
of course, byob, but if you forget, we'll have extra...
Well done. I was going to give you a hard time for adding even more exposure to the wonderful Kofas. But, your camp setup, calm demeanor and chill pace changed my mind. I've been going to the Kofas for over 25 years, in the winter of course. I've had to let it go recently because of a couple of seasons where the hoards from Quartzite would come up the canyon (Queen's Canyon) in their ATV wagon trains and really spoil the serenity. I'll start exploring the backcountry more thanks to this video. A side note. I stopped having a campfire when backpacking or camping alone. Nothing separates you from Nature like a campfire. It commands all your attention. You see it, feel it, smell it and smell it. Everything happening around the camp is drowned out by the fire. There are night sounds and scenes that are constantly going on all around. The desert landscape on a full moon night is unworldly. On the other hand, there is no better social glue than a campfire. Thanks for the Kofa moment.
I appreciate the comment and feedback. Although I've hiked all my life, this type of activity is relatively new to me so I'm always learning. I love campfires, for the reasons you mentioned and for their kind of meditative qualities, like you said...it drowns out the rest of the world. But your perspective caught my attention. I'll be sure to include some non campfire nights in the future.
Nice video, can't wait to hit up some of those areas myself this fall. The weather look perfect probably the best time to go is about now. Campfire is my favorite as well. God bless
It's an amazing place. I agree that now and over the next few weeks is probably the best time to go. Let me know if you make it out there!
Wonderful footage, added to my trip “must stop”! How far off the road is it? Should I consider pulling travel trailer and setting camp on blm property for a day or two?
You can definitely do that, or just make it a day trip and leave the trailer behind at another campsite.
Joe, Do you think I'd be able to drag my travel trailer through the park? Ive got a 17ft hybrid trailer pulled by my 19 tacoma beast!
You can definitely get a trailer through there. Their were full size ones camping out when I was there. I probably wouldn't take the Moki Dugway with it though.
Nice video, beautiful area.
Thanks! It certainly is!
Love it!
So glad!
Which one is the daughter? 🤷🏼♂️ anyway, cool song and looks like fun!
Thank you so much for sharing another awsome travel video with us!! I have a strong case of wanderlust building for desert travel, this will help👍
I totally get it Eddie. Just before I started down this road I had the same feeling. Felt like i was going to burst. Thanks for the positive feedback. It means alot.
@@thesecondhalf5823 always look foward to your travel adventures out west👍
Great Video, Beautiful Scenery, and Fantastic Experience!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love the song and beautiful scenery
Wow!!! This is such a beautiful video and place!
glad I could share it with you!
Love it! And that VRBO sounds great!
It was a very cool place!
Do have a link to that rental? We would like to check it out.
just added the link in the description
Beautiful but you'd never catch me standing that close yo the edge 😮
lol, it looks scarier in the video than real life!
Does this require a 4x4 vehicle or can I drive through in my Outback?
An Outback should be able to handle this trip with an experienced driver.
Is there good camping near that area?
Tons of camping opportunities. Per some quick research: If you want to stay the night, reserve a spot at Tamarisk Grove Campground or Borrego Palm Canyon Campground. Or, take advantage of the park’s primitive/backcountry camping policy: You can camp anywhere in the park, free of charge, as long as your car is not parked more than one length off the road (your site can be pitched further away).
This is high on my list of places to visit
I highly recommend it!
Love the vid! Thanks for sharing. Link for the VRBO?
I'll add it in the description.
😂😂😂 I’m ok unless she’s got no tattoo 😂😂😂
glad you're ok!
Looks like a great place to visit
You should go!
i hope to take a trip out there soon
You definitely should!
Such a cool area!
It really is!
amazing views!
They were indeed!
I definitely recommend it!
Such a beautiful adventure- you will always be thankful that you took the time to collect these memories
Thank you. I think you're right!
Love that whole area. Need to check out that Badlands area.
Its worth the trip. I want to go back for a sunset
I think I was faster than the Tacoma!
Yes you were....
Never heard of them. Thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it
