Hi everyone! In this vlog, we're making resin keychains out of shrinky dink paper and POSCA paint markers. It was really fun to experiment and create some traditional art in a medium we haven't worked with before. We also repotted some plants and made a few digital illos. ✨ Here's the tutorial we followed to make these :) ua-cam.com/video/02HsBaXtZsY/v-deo.html

Hi! ☺️ So I’ve recently started my jewelry collection and I’ve thought quite a bit about the essentials and building blocks to get started. I wanted to show you some starter pieces that I’ve recently added. All of these pieces are actually quite special to me, since a lot of them actually come from my mom’s jewelry box! She started off with these essentials when she was a young adult, and recen...

Hi there :) This is for anyone curious about the daily routine of a graphic designer. I tried my best to cram as much illustration and shots of NYC into this, so I hope you like it! Huge, HUGE thanks to my wonderful & kickass girlfriend for helping me animate and edit all the footage. And thanks to Morgan for suggesting this topic for my first real youtube video :) INSTAGRAM: odds...
What size canvas / file do you choose when starting an illustration on procreate? Also, i love the postcards and tote bag you made
Hey thank you so much for watching! 😊 I use 2048x2048 px for posting illustrations to Instagram. For the post card I used a 7” x 5” art board!

This is such a great video! Thank you for all the insight! I was wondering what type did u use for your subheadings throughout the video?
Loved this video! Such cool insight into your day! I know you WFH, but I was wondering if you have any advice in getting to an agency job as a self taught designer? Specifically as a self taught designer, what exactly do you put on your resume to get hired.... Other than listing "proficient in Adobe suite, etc." I have a degree in something completely different than design (in education), so how do I get employers to look at me without formal education in design? I am worried that even before getting to the portfolio, they would just skip you because the resume wouldn't have formal design education on it. Would really appreciate some insight into this, thank you!!❤
Hello! Thank you for watching! Since agencies rotate clients at a fast pace - e.g. working with a beauty brand one day and a car company the next, they often look for designers with a variety of styles on their portfolio. Presentation is very important. Similar to your portfolio, your resume should have a polished look when presenting your technical skills and experience. I have a section that lists my specific skills (motion design, ux design, layout design, etc) + programs I specifically use in the Adobe Suite. Your resume should highlight design specific duties like the types of projects you had ownership over or creative campaigns you led / contributed to. Your credentials like what college you graduated from or degree you received is usually a small blip in an ocean of experience you should fill with personal projects, internships, or entry level/freelance roles. I get this question a lot so I will make a video about this one day!
@@cozydreamstudio Thank you so much for your insight! I appreciate it & look forward to a video about it! 😊
please comeback haha greets from Argentina :D
Hello, I have a few questions. Where did you study to become a graphic designer? Do you protect your work from being stolen by a potential customer? If so, how? Thanks for uploading your video. It was very inspiring!
Hey, what is your Instagram could you plz tell me😇
Love this ❤ Thanks for sharing your creative process and your lifestyle. It’s very calming and inspiring too.
Hi ! I love your video and work. So inspiring ! Which 3d software do you use ?
Hello, thank you for watching! I used Blender.
Thank you for creating this channel 🥰 It's so inspiring Love it! 💓💓💓💓

7:57 what software were you using for the 3D design?
Blender
Love this video! I hope to become a graphic designer one day! What software did you use to edit this video? It’s amazing 🤩
Thank you for watching! I used Final Cut Pro to edit the whole video. I occasionally use After Effects and Procreate to make small animations.
I just want to say you are inspiring me to focus on becoming a freelance designer, I am currently a full time graphic designer but I want to make the switch and just seeing your work and range of styles just gives me hope. Anyways keep doing you! <3
Hey loved your video! I’m interested in learning more about being a graphic designer but I wanted to ask how you balance work as a freelancer? And basically what do you use to find freelance jobs? Thank you for the video, gonna subscribe!
You're so talented! Would you ever start your own design studio?
It’s refreshing to see someone actually sharing their own graphic design and process!
keep going queen
This video was comforting. I am coming from a UX/UI design background as a student and I just couldn't do it because it is way too complicated for me. I want to use my art skills much more and now I know what to do with my career. Thank you for this video! Much blessings <3
Aw thank you so much for watching! Glad it could help and provide a bit more insight into the other design options out there!
Im in the process of considering UX design in the Coursera course, but really considering brand design. I love the creative part of UX design but something about it is not giving me that spark/ excitement.
@@Mia._803 SAME!!! I think it’s just the UX part. I believe we both just want to be apart of the UI spectrum.
Thank you this was wonderful and informative
Thank you so much for watching!
I like your work. You're sending such vibes like it is super easy and interesting to do all this stuff. And when I heard all services that you render I was just confused how you can manage to work all this out? It is really cool, I am fascinated 💙💛
Haha thank you so much!
Just wondering did you go to uni and study graphic design? Is it worth it going to uni because its so expensive and takes 3-4 years 😢
Hi! Yes, I was a graphic design major in uni. It's definitely possible to learn the skills you need to become a designer without uni, but it will take a lot of research and commitment to form your own curriculum. In my case, it was worth it because the guidance and structure helped me figure out what was required to reach my goals. I also watched and listened to a lot of design podcasts and read up on resources like TheFutur, Design Matters by Debbie Millman, It's Nice That, School of Motion, etc.
Love your videos...keep going
you are so talented and cool

I'm a graphic/brand designer from Singapore and have been in a creative rut for the past few months so this really inspired me! It's cool how you come up with many logo variations off the bat because I'm usually told to give clients three. Cheers and looking forward to more design content :)
Thank you so much!
New york is really good for girls who lives alone?
Hey there! As a graphic designer, what apps/ programs do you find yourself using on a daily basis?
Hey, thank you so much! The apps I use most often are Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign. I also use Figma as well to collaborate with other teams and work on UI/UX design.

Hello! Yes, I applied through job boards on AIGA, Working Not Working, LinkedIn, and Indeed when I first got my start. After building my network, I mostly hear from recruiters proactively reaching out through LinkedIn.

yes please do! i'm curious to know how they came out!
hey is working as a graphic artist in NYC enough for a living? was salary ok?
your salary really depends on your level of experience, and the particular set of skills you offer as a designer (for example, do you animate, do 3D art, specialize in packaging or have UI/UX knowledge)? fresh out of college i made about $50K / year in a full time salaried position. In my most recent role as a brand designer, I make $90K / year. It also really depends on the type of company you work for and what your duties will be.
Hi I’m a 12 year old artist and love graphic designing can I have a few types for my age cause I live drawing so much 🇰🇷🧸🍃 yes and I also love South Korea 🇰🇷
Hi! I'd love to! Here are some tips: 1. Always make time within your week to draw or create something- anything! You can make a little doodle on a napkin, draw a two panel comic strip, or make a giant poster for your favorite movie/band. Never forget that even small opportunities for creation are important, so try to carry a sketchbook around with you no matter where you go. 2. Find designers and artists both online and in person and learn as much as you can from them. Be curious and observe, and ask lots of questions! What do they do for work? What kinds of styles and art forms do they create? For example. My favorite UA-camrs are currently Leah Wei and Cup of Jasmien, and they inspire me to try new projects both related and unrelated to design. 3. Create things you enjoy. What kind of media do you like to consume? Do you like anime/manga? Watching dramas? Or perhaps you just like to listen to music or read? Make it a habit to try creating in different mediums related to the things that bring you happiness and excitement. Make posters, paintings, tshirts, animations, pamphlets, book covers, cards, ceramics, prints! 4. Have confidence to do what you love. When I was your age I was perplexed by my desire to grow as an artist, but then disappointed by the inevitable critique from others. Really try to enjoy what you do as much as possible, whether you have an audience or not, a busy school schedule, high expectations from family or friends, etc... At the end of the day, just look for your personal meaning when creating. I hope this was helpful! This is a very general list, so let me know if you have more questions or need more examples. Good luck! 😊
@@cozydreamstudio thx so much I really appreciate this and will try do as many of theses things
