The ashkenazi is likely to be just Southern European rather than jewish, especially at 0.2%. Many ashkenazi jews have Southern European ancestry, as when their ancestors arrived in Europe, this was where many ended up. Most paternal "European" jewish ancestry is non European, but many of them have maternal European ancestry, so usually they are around 50-60% Middle Eastern, and 40-50% European. Their genetic clusters tend to be halfway between Europe and the Middle East reflecting this. So that 0.2% is likely just to be Southern European ancestry that you and ashkenazi jews share.

We only inherit 50% of genes from each of our parents and those genes are dispersed at random. So, just because you have certain genes that show up, that doesn't mean that's "what you are." It's a possibility that your parents and siblings have genes that you don't have, because that's how autosomal genetics works. They don't give you all of their genes, only half of them... which is also why some percentages are lower than others. If you want to know "who you are," you would have to do both a mitochondrial and y-DNA test. Those test specifically trace your lineage through your maternal and paternal line. You can do an mtDNA test, but a male in your family, like your brother or dad or grandpa would have to do the yDNA test because women don't inherit the y chromosome. I'm a Creole from Louisiana, so my paternal lineage is traced back to Frenchmen, and my maternal lineage is traced back Native American women. And then somewhere along the line the African was mixed in. I think when my great grandmother moved to New Orleans in the late 1800s. I don't know my maternal great grandfather, but my grandad was very dark skinned, and my dad is dark skinned, but his mom (my gran) has an Irish last name, which means my grandma's paternal lineage is Irish, and her maternal lineage is probably African. And my grandad (my dad's dad), has an English last name, but his parents are from Mississippi, so they are Creole too. And I think we're mixed with Indigenous American on my mom's dad's side as well. Also, there is some middle eastern DNA on my maternal line, and Egyptian on my autosomal, which is probably the Spanish & Portuguese lol. Anyway... genetics is more complicated than autosomal tests and it helps to do a full run so that you know the entire story of where you came from, not just parts of it.

@Dominique Siempre......If you knew true black history of the European countries, you would know that most of those lands were ruled and occupied by black people for nearly a thousand years. Especially the Ireland part, if you look at the DNA of other "black" people videos, you will see that most of them have these areas because of the ancient black presence in these areas. especially the Spanish and Portugese where the Black "Jews" were banished during the Spanish inquisition. Do a little more research.

I too am biracial and have always identified as Black. I was never treated or identified as white or would have even been white passing in the Jim crow south. Both of us would have failed there brown paper bag test with all our Melanin. I don't deny my white ancestors but everyday i look in the mirror I see a Black man and i'm proud of it and don't let anyone tell you who you are! Be true to yourself!

Just remember, it doesn't matter which ethnicity you look at, they did conquest & slavery. The reason why you see a lot about European conquest & slavery is because Europe was very good at it. Thus they conquered & enslaved more, and they are more known for it. This does not mean you conquer & enslave, your heritage doesn't shape who you are.

I'd suggest the possibility that the ashkenazi jewish might actually be sephardic jewish. They are genetically similar. And considering that you have spanish, native american, and miscellaneous middle eastern ancestry, i'd bet that you also have sephardic jewish ancestry, via northern mexico. It is quite common among the mexican/tejano population of south texas, myself included.

According to one source 10 percent of Áfrican americans are more than 50 percent european, Like you. Só the Black population is less than the government say. Many of the só called Black americans are genetically more white than Black and actually mixed

The reason there is more European than African is because her father is probably not 100% African being he’s African American & her mother is probably 100% European, it makes sense.

These DNA tests are great but you should disregard any results under 2% as they're not strong enough to be reliable.

Actually i read that you're not supposed to read your results like a pie chart. The percentages are based on chance and confidence. It doesn't mean you have that exact percentage inside you.

We are all mixed and cannot control who God made our ancestors. I have several ethnic groups that makes up my DNA, English, French and Iberian as well as west Africa and southern indigenous native American.
