Great video,I was a student at Coleg Harlech (you can see the tower block at 9.48, this was the students residence) in the early 90's, loved Harlech and that beach especially where I would run and walk every day. Have been back a number of times as the place just pulls you like a magnet.

Love to see areas of North Wales when I can't get there to visit. If you take requests, Llanbedr to Shell Island via the river Artro was a particular favorite. Keep up the good work. In years to come these will be a great document of what these places looked like.

Thanks for your comment. "Artro Estuary" (Franks Narrated Walks) posted 8 years ago with my old camera and "Riddle of the Sands" are two videos I have posted which cover this general area.

Edgar Rice Burroughs, while in China, may have got the name Greystoke from the former British ambassador to China, who had a home nearby in the Lake District. (Cumbria Tourist Guides)

@@franksnarratedwalks2005 Ah okay, thanks for that. I just wondered if there was any tributes to it in the village. I was in Jersey last summer and they have a lovely bench sculpture devoted to Toilers of the Sea. I know that in Cockermouth there is a pub named after Fletcher Christian from Mutiny on the Bounty.

Great video of the newly restored Barmouth Bridge and local area around it, with good narrative. I'm so pleased it's fully reopened, I'm sure all the locals are too. A bonus to see the train on it. We live in the East Midlands and we love Barmouth. We've walked and cycled across the bridge. We are delighted it has been restored to the original look.
