Sometimes, it is a gorgeous plant that just does not do well in the environment that you originally placed it in. For me I had an azalea that did not bloom. Thank you for the tip about cutting off half the hydrangea blooms. I'm in Virginia 7B and my blooms always fry before they take on much of their pink color. This year they did a little better and I assumed it was because this is their 3rd year and they have adapted a bit, but they are still mostly brown and crunchy. I think your idea is going to work perfectly next season!
Thanks as always, Kim. So sorry for your loss. Thank you for sending relief supplies.
Everything still looks beautiful! I have a lot of oxalis in pots, have to let them go dormant for the winter and refresh soil in the Spring love it though. Sorry again for your loss Sasha hugs!
O m g my condolences, I will miss her too. I have had dogs all my life so I know the pain,it does hurt to loose part of your family🥲just stay busy and not think your self but on your plants ,your garden always looks beautiful ,love your videos 🙏🏽💕
Condolences for your loss of Sasha, having lost 2 dogs and 1 cat in 16 months time, the loss is deep and great. Assuming that was your son in uniform...thanking him for his service and sacrifice. Peace to you.
Oxalis will spread and it’s hard to get rid of.
I miss seeing Sasha “Girl”.
Thanks Kim for your generosity to our area ,I live in East Tennessee I had no damage,15 minutes away it was destroyed, this is life changing. 🥲. Your garden still looks great ,I am ready for pansies, lots of them 💚 🍂🍁
Yes both the Purple Heart and the Purple Oxalis (Clover) spread like crazy here in zone 9b Texas Gulf Coast. 💜 I keep them in pots. Everything looks beautiful Kim. 😍 Thanks for sharing your garden with us. 😊
So sorry to hear about Sasha.
Oxalis is a beautiful plant. I have many of them because, they will pop up everywhere. Believe me they will! 😊
Blessings to you Kim. Thank you for your generous gifts for the flood victims. My home town Clyde is 20 miles west of Asheville . I know so many people that have lost their homes and businesses. My neighborhood has sent supplies via Samaritan’s Purse. It’s just heartbreaking to watch all of these flood videos. 🙏🏻 and so many homes don’t have flood insurance. A best friends son found 3 bodies washed up behind his house. 😢
@@emoore53045 oh gosh. I feel like there is more dead than they are saying or telling us. It’s devastating!!

Hi Kim, I planted blue star this year in my garden early in the spring, it is pretty vigorous and its lovely. I will have to lightly trim it back but it’s doing what I wanted as a ground cover. Im experimenting with other varieties of ground cover in my yard too to eventually stop mulching 😊
@@mariale7821 awesome. I am excited to see what it does in my garden. 🪴
Hi Kim. Menthol is a minty scent, probably similar to Salvia or Agastache.
Thanks so much, Kim, for all of your wonderful advice. I live near Winston Salem in zone 7B. In one of your videos I think that you mentioned that Proven Winners Bubble Gum could survive our winters. That is my favorite plant. How would I do this??? Do I just leave it alone or do I cut it back? Any advice about this would be greatly appreciated. Also thanks for the fall plant suggestions. I love to plant year around.
@@betwil3 yes after frost or now just cut Al the back and don’t pull up the roots. It’s not guaranteed it will come back. However I have had lots of them to come back
Thank you so much for visiting and sharing your experience! Great video and we hope to see you in the garden again next year. If you have any questions about taking care of your new garden adoptees, don't hesitate to contact our in-house customer service!
@@Plantdelights thank you I will
I can’t wait to work on some fall planters! Thank you for the inspiration!

Outstanding share
Muy buen video 🎉
You might want to over winter the cast iron plant inside because you have it in a pot. I don’t think it will survive winter unless you do.
@@marleneegan-hm7lr ok I’ll probably put it in the ground before frost with lots of mulch
Absolutely beautiful
I was planning on going there but something came up. I would have seen you! Sorry I missed you!
@@jenniferswindell2367 that would have been awesome.
OMG! I live just around the corner from there! 😃
What a beautiful garden. I've bought a lot of plants (mangaves) from Plant Delights through the years but never viewed their gardens. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
@@dutchgirlgardens you’re welcome
The tree at 12:03 is a female Ginkgo Biloba. It's an amazing tree. One of the oldest known trees to still exist and can be dated back to the dinosaur age.

We cant let the Purple Heart touch the ground here in zone 9b Texas Gulf Coast, it totally takes over and runs amuk. 🤪 I keep in a hanging basket.

Hi Kim ,like your videos, and all u share so thank u.Wanted to let u know that rain water is great because it contains nitrogen! 🌺💕🙏🏽
Thank you. Makes since.
Food security is such a wonderful idea that most people don’t think about. Thank you for sharing!
Why is the dead zones? And can it be prevented? Or is this a "regeneration" process?
The needles in the middle always die back each year. It’s a normal process
Great video🌷
Mucha experiencia 🎉
Delphiniums take a few years to really show out, same with your seed dahlias. Give the rhizomes time to grow bigger. Bigger roots, bigger plants. 1st year sleep, 2nd year creep, 3rd year leap! Also, the epipremnum pinnatum marble leaf changes as it matures. You also remarked on my fairly mature one, and picked that in the shop too. You need one, it is jumping out at you. It is easy, you will love it.
Great video Kim thanks for sharing
