Totally agree on the fact that nowhere in scripture does it say that there is a 7 year tribulation period. It is the 'covenant with many' that is established for 7 years, but of course the antichrist breaks that. The great tribulation is 3 1/2 years as you say. Still we must understand that there is a 7 year period (70th week of Daniel) that is still determined for Israel. Is it the 'confirming of the covenant with many' that begins this final week? Possibly. According to the Hebrew Calendar, we are currently in a shmita year (the final year of a 7 year sabbatical cycle). The new 7 year shmita cycle begins this fall. Very interesting!

Question: In the very next Chapter, Matthew 17, we see the transfiguration. After 6 days, Jesus took three disciples with Him to witness this event. Might the transfiguration be the event which Jesus references in Matthew 16:28. Jesus shining like the sun, in bright white raiment. Both Moses and Elijah present. The voice of God in a cloud. Might the transfiguration be the disciples' glimpse of the coming Kingdom before their physical deaths?

This book is by far the most insightful I have read on the endtimes. It changed my perspective entirely. I strongly recommend it to all believers who really want to engage the scriptures on what to expect in the endtimes. Chapters 2 and 8 made profound impacts on me. Possibly why it warns not to take mark is that there might be believers coming into Christ after rapture or others are born later to non believers and choose to believe during the anti christ reign. It makes sense that even during this time there will be a chance for new believers to hear gospel.

Jesus told Christians to pray for God's Kingdom to come and for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, Matthew 6:9,10! God's Kingdom is a heavenly government ruled by Jesus Christ as King. Soon Jesus will bring beautiful changes to the earth. There will be no more death, pain or sorrow on earth, Revelation 21:4,5! No more wickedness on earth, Psalm 37:9-11! After Armageddon the meek will inherit the earth and live forever on it, Psalm 37:29; Matthew 5:5; Proverbs 2:21,22! The earth will be cultivated into a Paradise like God intended in the beginning, Genesis 1:28; Isaiah 55:11! Jesus will do on a grand scale what he did when he walked the earth including raising those who are asleep in death, John 5:28,29! There will only be one government over the entire earth forever, Daniel 2:44! Jesus said that this good news of the Kingdom would be preached about in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come, Matthew 24:14! Soon Jesus will make sure that God's Will is done on earth as it is in heaven, will you be there to see it? John 4:22-24; John 17:3; Isaiah 42:8!
