Richie always says in interviews that nobody knew that he co-wrote songs with Jon and he wasn't suppose to say he did. Yet all the fans have known since the early 80s that Jon and Richie were co-writers. Jon kept Richie in the band through 2 rehab sessions. He wouldn't go the 3rd time. There's only so much Jon should have to put up with. Everybody likes to blame Jon, but it's Richie who has the problem.

Also, if Richie's daughter needed him, why was he driving around drunk with her and her friend. He ended being arrested and charged with a DUI.

Yes Richie was a good musician, but his bad habits ended it and still he just have such ridiculous excuses..... He only have himself to blame not Jon, not the band.... Jon IS a monster and a self-centered "front man." Front man doesn't mean anything other than the singer in the band. Jon became the task master when he took over the financial end of the band. He decided how much they got paid. It shouldn't surprise you to find out that he paid himself more than he paid his "mates!" He's the boss, they're his employees.

Jon is not the good guy, here, and your assumption that Richie was jealous of Jon is a stretch! Childish ways? What childish ways? When you said ***"Jon always seemed to be so serious and focused in interviews and Richie was always goofing off and trying to get the attention."*** Not at all. Their personalities were perfect for each other. Who cares who is naturally goofy or naturally serious. It doesn't mean that one is more important because their difference is what made them so good. Jon kicked him out (yes, kicked him out) when he couldn't remain sober and that was the last straw for the boss. It was definitely Jon's decision and he has never denied it. So many of you think Jon is the hero, um, no.

Jon is the boss because its his business .I have met Jon multiple times and he was always kind and respectful. Ritchie was sloppy drunk arrogant and could not even sit still long enough to answer questions for the rest of the interview. None of my encounters w/ Ritchie have been all that great but the other guys were awesome.

the only way Richie could come back is with total and honest reconciliation. Won't happen with Jon. Jon is who he is and the years of fame have made him arrogant.
