Hello! I’m Jeanne Marie, and I’ve spent over a decade balancing career and family while growing close to Jesus. After a much-needed sabbatical in April 2024, with God’s grace, I’m ready to share how I handle the beautiful chaos of motherhood, work, and everything in between.

I landed my dream job in just 6 weeks | God is good
God is so faithful! In the mountains and in the valleys, I will praise Him. This week I landed my dream job after 6 months of taking a personal sabbatical and quitting my job last April. I’m so grateful God lead me to this new chapter. In this video, I break down the things I did differently this time which really helped me get interviews fast.

Giving all the glory to God is inspiring ! Thank you 💕
Glory to Him always. Thank you!
I’m going through a career change and it really stresses me out. So your video really helped me to see things in a new perspective! Thank you
Hi! Thanks so much for letting me know. I make these videos to truly just inspire people who can resonate so I'm glad it helped somehow. These are reminders I constantly tell myself because even if I know them, I still need to remind myself from time to time because change is just scary and uncomfortable but it's also the road to probably the next best thing in your life. I pray God sustains you in this season of change!
YES! His plans are to prosper us and to give us a future, He has the best for us so every rejection is just ✨redirection✨!! He is so good 😭💛
He truly is!!! So glad we connected here 🥹👏🏻🙏🏻
this is so insightful, I’ve never hired anyone for my videos just bc it seems overwhelming but your breakdown makes it seem less scary and i might finally be brave enough to work towards that! ☺️
@@itsjayyce upwork definitely give you a lot of affordable options for good talents!!! Glad this was helpful ❤️🙏🏻
you are SO INSPIRING ❤ that’s a giant paycheck to walk away from and it’s scary honestly, i just walked away from mine but God’s got our backs!!! Nothing will top the time you’re now able to spend with your kids and how exciting this season is for you in building His kingdom 🙌
@@itsjayyce yesss!!! Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️👏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

People need to STOP quitting their jobs - things are about to get even MORE tough in the economy and it's going to be impossible to get those positions/salaries back.
Hi! Totally get where you're coming from. Financially, it may not be the best decision. Mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, it was the best decision for me and my well-being. But again, we have different situations, different thresholds of stress, etc. appreciate your thoughts!
Thanks for sharing :) I enjoyed how honest you were!
@@DREAMPIECE I’m glad you enjoyed it. It was transparency like this that I wish I found as I was doing my research. =)
200k is nothing, especially in New York
Thanks for your comment! Whether $200k is a lot or not really depends on individual perspectives and circumstances. It’s great that you feel it’s not much, and it’s a reminder that everyone’s financial goals and situations are different. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts!
Hahah hater
@@kennethwong815 haha loser
So u can do that becuase there is a partner that handles the financial burden, otherwise u will have no way out other than keep working
That’s right. For the longest time, I was the breadwinner despite having a partner, my husband stayed home with the kids. It’s not until very recently that with God’s grace his career took a turn and is now able to support us financially. He was very supportive and wanted to give me this opportunity to experience being a “stay at home mom” and spend more time focusing on the family. But you are right, if not for his career taking off, I wouldn’t be able to do this. I’m very grateful.
If your old boss will welcome you back, then go back to your old job because the job market is tough.
@@nikkis8102hi! I appreciate that. Although it’s not something I’m considering at this point, it’s something to think about. 🙏🏻
This is horrible advice given to you by someone who lives their lives in fear. Trust your feelings to allow these weak minded minions to cause you to loose focus!
I also want to quit my job. but unfortunately it doesn’t make sense financially. I’ve been under a lot of pressure and feeling stressed for the past a few years. I sometimes wish I was very sick so I can take a long break.
So sorry to hear that. I’ve been on the same boat for years and fortunately the wfh/hybrid helped ease a bit but still not for long. I definitely recommend taking some vacation days to maybe focus on applying for new opportunities if that’s something you want to do. Definitely don’t wish for sickness since a break wouldn’t be a real break if you’re sick… i pray you get through this season soon.🤍🙏
Thank you for sharing your videos-they are very well produced. I look forward to seeing more of your work!

I feel you, I’m starting to feel the burnout but i can’t afford to quit. I’m doing that I’m not passionate with. Everyday is a drag for me. I have unkind and toxic manager, lead engineer and senior engineer. My career used to be good but for the last couple of years it’s been horrible. I’m starting to question my self and doubt my capabilities as an engineer. I always pray to God to give me strength and keep me away from those people. I work at Boeing, i will be happy if they glad they furlough or lat me off. I actually need some advice.😢i got stomach ache and puking every morning by knowing that I will go to work and see those people again. The everyday twice a day useless meeting is really burning me out also.
@@MrMokong03 I’m so sorry to hear about what you’re going through. From what you’re saying, it definitely seems that you need to find a new opportunity. Maybe if you can take some time off like 2 weeks (or even more if that’s possible), and in those weeks focus on applying for jobs. I quit last April but in mid August I actually felt like I was ready to get back into the corporate grind. I dedicated only a couple of days to truly apply for jobs and thankfully I’ve been able to get quite a number of interviews from it. This was about 4 weeks ago and I’m still in the late stages of those same interviews.. I’m excited but I want to tell you that to encourage you that if you just dedicate a few days to truly focus on looking for work, I’m sure there is something out there. I’m planning to share what steps I took in getting these interviews soon hopefully in my next few videos if you want to watch out for that. I’ll be praying for God to sustain you in this challenging season and to point you to the right direction!❤️🙏🏻
@@jeannemari3 Thank you 🙏🏽. I really appreciate it. I will start to look for another group once the union strike is over here at Boeing. I don’t mind the hard work but I just want to deal with the toxic environment and people. Thank you again, i will keep praying .
@@MrMokong03 absolutely get that. A lot of times it’s not the workload but more so the culture that makes it hard to bear. All the best!!🙏❤️
I am sorry you going through this. That is exactly how I felt working for Samsun as an Engineer. The people there made it horrible to work there. I would hate wake up and know that I will see those people again and again. I hated the people, I hated the Job, I hated the commute...The only reason I took the job with Samsung was because They offered me $130K. But left after 3 months. I felt sick in that godamn job.....
Thank you so much for this. God knows how many young moms feel the same way about feeling like what they do is not enough both at work and at home. A friend of mine also went through something similar. She managed to pull through by quitting her job at a BPO company and switched to a hybrid one. She landed the role through Jobsolv which greatly helped her transition from full-time corporate work to having more time spending with her daughter while still earning on the side.
@@DottieCarlem yes, it’s certainly a common feeling for working moms. I’m so happy your friend made the move and is making it work for her family. I’m definitely considering fully remote roles or 1-2 days in the office max once I get back into the grind. ❤️
Health is true weath. Good for you for living life on your own terms!
Thank you so much for getting it. Appreciate your note!🙏🏻❤️

quit 200k job and become a youtuber??????🤣
@@13skyburger hello! While I didn’t exactly quit to do UA-cam, it was definitely something I was looking forward to exploring knowing this would be the only time I can really give it a try before I find myself back in corporate again. I have definitely seen people do the bold move of quitting mainly to do UA-cam but i think most of them have done it only once their UA-cam/online income was enough for the move to make sense. ❤️ thanks for stopping by!
It doesn’t have to be all or nothing as far as your career is concerned. As an attorney when my daughter started to engage in extracurricular activities after school I took a corporate attorney position where I worked 32 hours so I could be there to pick her up after school.
@@gloriagunning4088 i agree. The key is to find that place/career/role that allows this. And that’s one of my goals as I start thinking about potentially getting back into corporate, to really find that balance. Thanks so much for watching! And kudos to you for finding that balance m 🙏🏻❤️
privilege is invisible to those who have it
I totally understand where you're coming from. That's exactly why it took me a really long time to make the decision-I knew how blessed I was to have that job, and it wasn't something I took lightly. Every day, I'm so grateful that I get to do this, and I don't take any of it for granted.
Thank you so much for watching! I hope you stick around for more videos where I share my journey in building a faceless UA-cam channel and share things I've learned in starting and growing your career in the tech and finance space as a working mom and an immigrant who didn't' t grow up in the states!
Wow I know that’s tough to quit. I am also making 210k and working remotely in a corporate environment and it’s so hard to quit. I feel similar to you, i also feel incompetent since my role change 2 years ago. I also feel like I am not growing or learning anything anymore and want to take a break. But hard to walk away from a 15 year corporate career.
I totally understand and that's exactly how I felt. I think what also helped me was reminding myself that "I can always come back" if I had to and I wanted to.
@@jeannemari3 Thank you for that. This would be my second break if I take one and I think in my early 40's it can be hard to come back. But I do think it's possibel. I am planning and saving up money, in the next 6 months I plan on quitting. Most likely March 2025 but man I want to quit so bad! Each day is a drag.
@@adammorra3813 i get you. That’s how I felt too. But early 40s honestly is still a good time in my opinion to come back. Im in my late 30s for reference. And just a thought, if you’ve been in the company for a while now, is an unpaid sabbatical possible? I know some work places offer that especially for tenured employees.
Be kind to yourself! I want to seek volunteering at church too. Also what is the lip color! LOVE
Aww thank you. I need that reminder from time to time! If you feel that tug in your heart to volunteer, I say don’t wait and go for it. The enemy has his ways of distracting us from that so careful not to wait too long. Volunteering is such a privilege and is such a blessing 🙏🏻 It’s my fave lippy and i will link it here for you: amzn.to/3XmPJRc
let me guess. Product Manager?
Hi! Close. I’m an Account Manager in tech so you’re right in a way, since I functioned as a PM a lot of times as part of my role lol thanks for stopping by! I’ll be making videos about my career journey in tech soon if you want to watch out for that.
@@jeannemari3 ah, I suppose you're one of those tech toks that got laid off.
@ngaciro7768 fortunately no. Maybe it would’ve been easier on one hand if that were the case but I’m grateful that it didn’t happen that way so I was able to plan well for my family. I left on my own after months and months of contemplating and preparing.
One thing i learned is humans cannot b happy n contented. They always want that they dont have. They want to b successful n recognized at work and once they achieve it, they want something else. Be it more time, more money, sense of purpose, respect, love etc. you have to have a gratitude attitude to combat this sense of wanting more or inadequacy. Otherwise, u will never b happy n contented. Lucky for u to afford living without a job, some of us are struggling n just want a break or a breather!😅
@@bfdee1603 Thank you for your comment. I do recognize how blessed I am to be able to do this and I'm so so grateful to God for His provision and to my husband's support. Although I will be back in the grind pretty soon I think.

nice video. how many views does the faceless channel get to be able to generate meaningful passive income?
Hi! Thanks for watching. So it depends on a lot of factors such as your niche, your audience locations, etc. which will result to different CPM (what the advertiser pays for impressions) and RPM (what the creator earns from impressions). My next video will be discussing what steps I took to get to monetization for the faceless channel including the money i spent on the freelancers I hired and whether or not the whole thing is worth it. Should be posted next week if you want to watch out for it!
