Yes - you can actually rub it on with a q-tip if you wanted or with fingers (wearing gloves). You will be able to access more of the affected area this way. I would do this 3x per day until it's gone.

You can apply it directly onto the body. The plastic is to help your heat source not get dirty - just ensure you remember the side of the cloth you exposed the plastic to so that you don't apply it to your skin the next time you use the pack. Plastic side always away from the body. I hope this helps.

@@melcannourish I'm sorry I will rephrase it: My last ct scan was done from 6 months, and its result was: Interval increase in size of previous small collection , showing peripheral enhancing wall in left subdiaphragmatic region anterio- superiorly to spleen , measuring 2.3x2.1cm vs 1cm previously.The aspect may be in favour of abscess. My dr didn't prescribe an antibiotic, nor any other treatment for that. Your goal is to place it on the area you need. If it touches another organ, in theory, it is fine, but as always, listen to your body. If you're in pain or uncomfortable, always discontinue use.
