nice, it preserves the way the instruments change timbre over melodies. The ORAS remix kinda forgot to do that

honestly would have worked well for the E4 since the E4 in the kanto games uses the gym leader music and guess what 3/5s of the E4 in the johto games consist of bruno, koga and lance 3 kanto bois (yes i know lance is canonically from johto but he is still associated with kanto, also lance has his own theme due to being champ)

Oh, dude, I love how more pronounced the percussion is here. This was always my problem with Gen 4's music: the flat and muffled percussion. This breathes new life into it.
