Yes it does have a Web GUI, in here you can login and under network settings you can set the IP to static and allocate a new IP this way.

We found this router to be as buggy as hell. Firstly the 5Ghz wifi is unreliable, we had to disable it to force our devices to use 2.4Ghz, secondly the Multimedia Sharing doesn't work properly, only half of our music catalogue shows up on uPnP/dlna clients, and also if you try to use this feature, after a while you can't log in to the router or it becomes very slow and laggy, and after a further while it will crash and reboot. Next, after a while of up time devices can't connect via wi-fi anymore, it's like it doesn't clean up dropped connections, you have to reboot it and then it's okay again, for a while. Also, we're not using LTE here and have got that disabled, but the red led LTE indicator is flashing red all the time, not causing any problems though, just annoying, it should extinguish if LTE is disabled in the menu. And lastly, if all that wasn't enough, one of the ethernet port indicator leds stopped working, the port still works but the activity led does not. We installed the latest available firmware, TK_1.00TK_V1.2.12ah_20220314 but that made no difference. I would not recommend this device.

If my ups is connected to the charger the entire time won't it mess up the battery?

The charging system regulates the charging current, and once the battery is fully charged, it stops charging and switches to a maintenance mode to keep the battery at a safe level. This rooter has a Firmware error with PORT BANDWIDTH which is suppose to LIMIT UPLOAD SPEED and DOWNLOAD speed. It limits the download speed, but fails to limit the upload speed.

The config page of the router defaults to a quick setup page, in order to change the wifi password, you need to put in the old wifi password. If I knew the password I wouldn't be trying to change it!! Circles.... goin' round in circles.

I had one of these. Not this brand, but a different one. My ONT box is on the ground against the wall and my fibre router is on my sons desk. I found that the Wifi ups router cables are way too short for me to leave the ups on the floor and my router on my sons desk. I dont want to put my router on the floor as well. In this instance, how can get a longer cable? I tried searching everywhere and just cant find an extension cable. I sold the wifi ups router, but plan on getting one again. Forgot to mention that there is a good 2 metre distance between the router and ONT box.

Good day, on the right side of your D-Link DWR-956M Wi-Fi Router there are 3 buttons/ports. the first port is a USB port, after that there is a button called the 'reset button', click and hold this button for about 5 seconds and your router will begin an automatic reset and will start up shortly after resetting.
