I may not know everything there is to know about any one particular thing...but I have an opinion on everything.
Just an old Nerd who's seen a lot of stuff; whose ultimate goal is to make you chuckle a bit... maybe inspire you to watch a weird old movie or find a weird comic or toy for your collection...or maybe I'm just doing this to try to cash in on that sweet ad revenue from all my millions of subscribers...just a simple man trying to make his way in the Universe...

VHS AF Review - Godzilla vs Megalon (1973)
If you know anything about Godzilla, you know this movie!
Before anyone else points it out, I mention in the video that the movie is from 1976. That was actually the year it debuted in North America, and not when it was originally released in Japanese theaters. I know you came here looking for absolute accuracy in Godzilla knowledge...

Treasure of the Four Crowns IN 3-D!!! (1983) - DVD AF Review
Saludos compadre
Godzilla vs megalon is one of my favorite movies. This one could be remastered 😂❤
This was definitely the worst of the prequels. The romance feels so forced and is embarrassing to watch - yet it should be the emotional centre that carries the whole thing. I do get into some of those set pieces too though - in those moments I feel like a 10 year old kid watching it, which is all I really need from Star Wars, I guess.
I think I definitely had my 10-yr old brain going when I shot this review!
Hey I cut the cheese with those!
Love this movie along with CEMETERY MAN very Evil Dead-like.
I'll have to check that one out!
@andyboycomicsntoys Definitely man, it features a young Rupert Everett 👍
I was having it out with a friend sayin this was the gore king of movie , he insisted "braindead" was. We went on for five minutes before realising we were describing the same movie 😂
One of my favorites
Best movie ever made
Will be watching this thankyou for you recomendation.
No worries - it's what I do. Real thanks go to Peter Jackson! I just think everyone needs to see a freaky, fun and entertaining film like this!
Why does that cover look like they live?
The book isn't entirely clear about the rules, but is at least PARTIALLY possessed by the original owner who he first buys it from rather than his brother. The original owner is the CHARACTER that the brother is in the movie, dialled up to eleven, while the brother is a mild mannered old highschool English teacher who wants to help, but has been heavily traumatized by his brother over the years. The original owner dies and goes into the car, which he was supposed to have unknowingly but instinctually already infested with whatever "Christine" actually is with the maybe accidental and maybe not sacrifice of his daughter. The guy is implied to have been such a cancerous person that he was basically JUST on this side of being a literal demon himself, so he could kind of sense things, and was a little tougher and stronger than he should've been maybe. And people will see and hear things about him and they'll go "I'm just going to tell myself he didn't mean that the way he said it, I'm going to tell myself he DIDN'T know about the demon he fed his only child to, because I HAVE to believe that." That kind of thing. So he creates a demonic force in the car that later claims his spirit when he dies, not that he at all minds, and then the TWO forces do whatever they do to Arnie in like a spiritual demonic forced rape threesome kind of deal. Also the interior of the car is a timewarp between all eras it's existed within. It always carries every soul it's ever claimed, they constantly shift and change in the back seat, and when you ride along you literally see all those times melt together into nonsense through the windows. There's also a thing the brother says. Now, the car is called a Fury, and it's apparently indestructible. But of course the evil brother was always deeply angry and nothing would ever change that about him. The good brother says "What I remember most about him is his unending fury." And you're left to wonder which of those things he means. Is he referencing both, does it even matter due to them being connected by fate in some way, ect. Also in the book, the car's odometer spins backwards, and rather than simply repairing herself on the fly like the movie, she needs to be rolling to get the benefit. The odometer literally takes back the damage and sends the car to before it occurred physically.
So the general rule of Jason flicks is that if you have sex you die. But dude has a robot, which technically isn't another person. Say he had screwed the robot-- does he still live? Does the future find a way around the Jason/sex problem?
You had me at Jack Nance!
I almost watched this on Saturday the 14th too for Bad Movie Night. I think we made the right choice. I remember Richard Benjamin from Love at First Bite - another not-funny comedy-horror.
I haven’t seen this in ages. I need to watch it again. Have you ever seen Bucket of Blood? That’s the quintessential Dick Miller movie!
That one's on my watch list!
I feel the 2009 reboot gets more hate then it deserves. Imo after Jason X and the franchise going into space and how goofy it was getting I think it benefited from the reboot. Not to say it doesn’t have its flaws though.
I gotta admit there wasn't much to dislike about this movie. It was just weird to see Jason Vorhees cast in such a serious light.. . I was hoping for a little more 'campiness', but I think they did ok here!
This film scared the living shit out of me...nightmares for a week
That movie gave me more nightmares more than all the Nightmare on Elm Street’s, all the Friday The 13th’s, and Halloween’s put together when they all first came out in theaters.
Agreed it did me the same way
Agreed
I first believed in “movie magic”watching Superman The Movie growing up, Eddie in the movie turning into a Werewolf I call “special effects with movie makeup” back then it all looked real, and NOW it doesn’t look real anymore, now it feels like peanut butter & jelly exploding in the microwave, back then you would feel that is what your body parts looked like once you are killed by a Werewolf, Freddy, Jason, Micheal Myers.
I find 70’s horror to be an awkward phase for horror. As it transitioned from the surreal horror of the 50s/60s and the slasher craze of the 80s
💯 The 70s gave us so many great weird horror films, like The Omen, The Exorcist ... a bunch of Cronenberg movies...
I’m surprised you didn’t say anything about the iconic ending that most people remember from this movie.
No spoilers here! You're absolutely right tho - the ending is awesome too!
Yes Winnipeg!!! I agree with you. This movie gave me night terrors!!! I cant believe we never watched that movie on our horror movie nights in your basement!!! Wifey says she cant believe she’s never seen this movie!!!
Saw it when it came out when I was 13 (and many times thereafter). Love it! The Orpheum theatre in Estevan, Saskatchewan was usually packed. I always thought itd make a great midnight double feature with The Rocky Horror Picture Show. A couple of years ago I found the soundtrack on CD at a thrift store - I still have my vinyl one though! Carburetors Man! Thats what life is all about!
It’s about time
"SWAN STOLE MY MUSIC AND FRAMED ME!!" Glad you finally came around on this one. I love this movie, own it on DVD and will be seeing it in the theatre with Paul Williams and the Juicy Fruits in attendance. Can't wait!
Didn’t know they made CD Versions of the Phantom of the paradise Soundtrack
My daughter found it for me at Sunrise Records in Vancouver - only 10 bucks!
Great haul! I had quite a few of those comics back in the day. Thanks for the shout out! Cheers!
Don't forget her role in Slaughter High.
I've never actually seen the film, but it's on my list!
I have sooo many copies😂
Maybe that’s where they got the idea for Snake eyes
What was the movie preview of the forbidden love Spanish movie that was one of the movie preview before the beginning of ghost ship . I been searching for years . The movie was about two family feuding And a young girl and boy falls in love n has to hide their relationship from their families. The movie was previewed on the VHS of Ghost ship
The MGM is based on the 1900 Wonderful Wizard of Oz, where Dorothy actually goes to a real place. When MGM made their movie, they felt audiences of the time could not accept that, so they made it a dream sequence. Also, about three paragraphs into the book, the tornado comes up and takes Dorothy away - no farmhands, Miss Gulch, Prof. Marvel foreshadowing of people in Oz. Baum went on to write 13 sequels, and others were authorized to continue after his death. MGM had purchased the rights to the first book but then Disney bought the rights to all the rest. Walt kept thinking about doing something with this but it took this long - 1985 - to actually do it. They had to step very carefully around the MGM movie copyright issue, although they did spend a ton of money to be allowed to use ruby slippers. (In the book, it was silver slippers but MGM felt the red would "pop" more in color.) In Return, Dorothy has actually gone there but everyone thinks it was a dream (a way to blend the MGM concept with the books). In Return, the Oz characters show up in Kansas as a foreshadowing, the reverse of the MGM movie. The very first book I ever read was my mother's copy of Ozma of Oz. Return is a blend of the first two sequels, Land of Oz and Ozma of Oz. This movie was able to duplicate very accurately the way the characters are illustrated in the original books. Many Oz fans consider this a sort of love letter to the books, even though general audiences were expecting another musical. Jack Pumpkinhead, Mombi the witch (sort of), the deadly desert, the powder of life, and the flying gump are from Land. Floating on the (Kansas) ocean in a chicken coop, Billina, the lunchbox tree, the wheelers, Tik-Tok, the Nome King and his aversion to eggs, and the guessing game in his ornament room comes from Ozma. That Mombi had interchangeable heads comes from merging her with a princess in Ozma.
Do you by chance remember an episode where Fred and Barney buy a gangster's car from a police auction....
Vaguely? This videocassette and the Hanna Barbera compilation one were the only Flintstones (besides movies) that I'd seen in decades... but that does sound a bit familiar. 🤔
Underrated gem of a film I always enjoyed since I was 4 for 38 years.
7:09 that guy could be whoever you want him to be
Big bird doesn't really understand that American is not an actual language , it's just the Americanized form of English!
I haven't heard that name in forever, and I know I rented it, but I don't remember it at all lol If you like cheesy B rate horror from the 80's look up The Video Dead it's one of my watch every 10 years movies
Not sure if it was intentional, but I think it is funny that the n@zi in the cover is using an Uzi, an israeli gun.
I watched this after school with a mate in the late 80s. We both agreed it was rubbish about 20 minutes in and just fast forwarded to the boobs and violence. The Toxic Avenger had many redeemable features, but SNMD didn't have any.
Great film.
Party named after democracy they sure didn't give anyone a chance to vote for a delegate
Get a life
This was a movie I always seen on the shelf at video castle (a little ma and pop video store) and kinda disappointed I never picked it up looks strange but I've seen the garbage pal kidz movie and Tammy and the T-REX so I think it would've been fun
Troma Über Alles
Criminally underrated
The Swastikas are shown correctly. Pointed to the right.
Haha. I actually really saw that movie. 😂
I used to LOVE watching this when i was a kid!
I remember watching it back on the late, great "USA Up! All Night." Gotta agree, I didn't think it was all that great either, even by Troma standards. Leroy's Mama was definitely the best character in the movie.
Love this movie. One of my favorite troma movies. So bizarre so strange.
Can u u get two more tickle me Elmo's the first one is the lol Elmo and the second one is a just play tickle me Elmo!
Would you do video interview for my UA-cam channel
Loved this show!
