    You're a smart lady. Keep up the good work. I've studied the KJV of the Bible sense I could read from a young age. It is an amazing collection of works that give us an understanding of our past and future laid out for us, and it saddens me that the masses just take it as a collection of rules and kids stories. People need to wake up and read instead of letting someone else speak twisted words from a lectern. I couldn't tell you the number of falsehoods I've heard from preachers just trying to make some point. Anyway, thx and prayers. Let me add, you sad it makes you sad that one gets taken from the field and one gets left. You point to examples that people aren't sharing the gospel, but I don't think that to be the case. Jesus and the Bible are cultural and worldwide phenomenon. I've learned over the years you can't force salvation onto the unwilling. The Bible tells us to wash our feet but to also be examples and pray for those unwilling. We all have access, but people chose the world instead of Jesus.

    16:39 The terrible day of the Lord you pointed out, is the day of Judgement. There is no reason to think it will not fit in a 24 hour day. So can you point to any other place in the Bible where Y om does not represent a 24 hour day? No? Then why would the days of creation be different? Secondly, it is not unreasonable that the light God created in the first day, he replaced with the Sun in the forth day. Have you heard of flood lights and working lamps? You can pick up a set for a few dollars from ebay when you need to work on your car, and then switch them off when no longer needed.

    Earth is 4.5 billion years old. Life was created. Evolution is a lie and not mathematically possible thanks to our knowledge of dna. The ancient Hebrew in Genesis can translate yom as day or a long period of time. Morning and evening in Hebrew also translates as the beginning and end of each period of time. The sun and moon appear (also in the ancient Hebrew translation) on the fourth day thanks to the oxygenation of the atmosphere that clears the sky so they can finally be seen. Science confirms all of this meaning science confirms Moses vision from god was 100% accurate. Science also confirms the universe has a beginning. Jesus said seek knowledge because knowledge backs our Christian story and not Atheist and other religions.

    • @Ozzy66733
      @Ozzy66733 2 місяці тому

      I am afraid you are mistaken. It's easy to do reading it in English but in ancient Hebrew the translation of day can also be long periods of time and morning and evening can also be markers for the transition between those long periods of time. This also makes Genesis 1 align exactly with what science confirms the Earth's history was over a few billion years including the sun and moons appearance (as fits with the hebrew). After land forms there is a great oxygenation event that allows the Earth's atmosphere to clear and now the sun and moon can be seen from the surface. Moses vision of God's perspective was 100% accurate when translated correctly and understood with the help of science.

      More to the point, why would the Bible start with a LIE? If they were not 24 hour days, then why use the word day? The whole narrative of Genesis 1, could be written without specifying the time periods. BUT Genesis 1 DOES specify time periods as 24 hour days. I am a young earther, although not necessarily dogmatic regarding it (I come from an atheistic evolutionary background). However, it is key to note that many Rabbis, including Ibn Ezra and various others, interpreted Yom as a 24 hour day. In fact, when the Septuagint was translated, the Hebrew translators used the Greek word ημέραις to translate "days" in Exodus 20:11. This word is exclusively the plural of a single 24 hour day. It would be the same as us saying we'll be on vacation for 6 days. We don't interpret that as 6 ages or anything of that nature. So even over 2,000 years ago, the Hebrews believed it was a literal 6 days. Creating celestial bodies for calculating or tracking time has no bearing on time itself. If the earth existed in a void with no sun, moon, or stars, time would continue that same. We would just have to track it differently. All a day is is how long it takes for us to rotate. it is not dependent on anything other than that. And that is how Ibn Ezra described it, "A rotation of a sphere." Notice he didn't even mention the sun or moon. There are also modern Rabbis and Hebraists who understand Yom to be a literal 24 hour day in Genesis 1. There is not an absoute consensus on the matter. I say this not to discredit you, but to simply say not to be so rigid in your understanding.

      I’m wracking my brain trying to figure out how someone can go from being an atheist who accepts evolutionary biology to a young earther. I say that because one of the top two or three reasons why I lost my faith is the overwhelming amount of evidence against the Bible narrative of creation, Adam and Eve, and the flood. In order to be a young earth creationist, you have to reject entire scientific disciplines like biology, geology, and cosmology. If those three disciplines are wrong, I don’t see how the scientific method can survive in such a worldview.

      @@frederickfairlieesq5316 , that's some nonsense you are spouting. Let's start with Biology. Abiogenesis, the process of life arising from non-living matter, is getting more impossible the more we learn about the complexities of the cell. 1.- No one has been able to explain the chirality of organic chemistry, needed for life. A single bond of wrong chirality and the whole system falls apart. 2.- No one has been able to create life in a lab. They always START with a living cell, and have never CREATED even the simplest living cell. 3.- The sum of all known mutations actually REMOVE information from DNA. There is no known mechanism of DNA growing with more information. 4.- Natural selection is verifiable, but it always REMOVES information from the genome. And that removal causes a lot of problems long term. Think of Wolf to Dog and the many dog breeds with genetic problems. I could go on, but it is becoming obvious that DNA is a coding language that needs a coder, and this is enough to dispel your assertion.

    I would suggest that a church with strong governance that practices unjust ruling is worse than a church that lacks governance but practices right ruling. God requires right ruling and equal weights and measures. Unequal weights and measures are an abomination to Him. Just because a church has a robust government structure does not mean it practices right ruling. Many church denominations are good ol boys clubs. They only allow certain people into leadership role who know someone and toe the line. There is not real accountability in these denominations. If one pastor creates to many problems at one church, they just move them to a different town. The SBC, Catholic church, United Methodist, etc, are all examples of churches that do this. Government structure does not automatically equal right ruling. If the leaders are not using the Torah and the rest of scripture to determine right ruling in whatever comes up, then they are not practicing right ruling. Often times leaders in church use favoritism or their own denominational doctrines to determine matters, not scripture. In short I would put a higher priority on a church that practices right ruling over a church with a government structure.

    Dear sister thank you for the teachings, I just would like to share that I found in the Bible that we the Christians are intended to obey the law of Moses because we have been grafted in Israel, we have became part of Israel through the blood of Christ, our price was paid with blood price (Paul said that there is no more Jewish or gentile,...before we were with no God, no hope, excluded from Israel citizenship, but now we are part of Israel. This is why in Christ all the promises (aka blessings) of are yes and amen. As part of Israel (not part of the Jewish community that are our brothers and sisters that have their own traditions that we can share or not because some of them are not in the written Torah) we have the same rights and obligations of any members of the Israel community, so we must obey all the laws that apply to us, starting with the Shabbat, the real day of the Lord (The Sunday was established by the pagan sun worshiper emperor Constantine), because all the blessings and the curses are not for Jewish people only but to everyone alive. Blessings come by obedience to God's commandments (not to Noah's laws) and curses come by disobeying the Torah, that simple. God doesn't excuse any man or woman for sining, because the pay of sin is death. Without the law we don't have a moral rule, and everything turns subjective. In Jerusalem the apostles had a very important meeting and yes, they established for the new believers four "initial" laws (no blood, not drown animals, no idolatry & no sexual immorality Acts 15:19-20), because ...."in every city there is a synagogue where Moses is taught every single Shabbat" Acts 15:21. Nobody is born knowing how to walk, we must learn, and with the law is the same, we must learn the commandments to obey them as we learn in the weekly Shabbat. Because in the new testament synagogues all the believers were together, Jewish and non-Jewish, all of them as one in Christ, learning how to obey better our Master, Savior and God incarnated and the living Torah, Jesus Christ. Thanks again for your work and may the Lord bless you and keep you. In the love of Christ.

      I'm sorry dear believer, but you are not correct. The Church does not Keep The Law To be Justified (Galatians 3:24, Romans 8:2, James 2:10), show me evidence that Sunday was established by the pagan sun worshipper. The Early Church worshipped on Sunday. (Acts 20:7; 1 Cor. 16:2; Rev. 1:10)

      The Catholic church did infact change the sabbath to Sunday. They even admit that. This is something you can look up. No the Law cannot save you if you don't walk them out in spirit and truth. The sister above @luisea930 is correct. In revelations it is written those who keep the commandments and have the testimony of yeshua will be saved 🎉 " if you love me, keep my commandments" Do everything the Pharisees tell you but don't do what they do" the problem with the law is Judah , the Jews added manmade traditions and that's what Yeshua reprimanded them for. 💕 Shalom

      @@SeekersMinistry please do your own research on historical sources, but here you have a clue: Justin Martyr, in the mid-2nd century, mentions "memoirs of the apostles" as being read on "the day called that of the sun" (Sunday) alongside the "writings of the prophets."[11] On 7 March 321, Constantine I, Rome's first Christian emperor, decreed that Sunday would be observed as the Roman day of rest:[12] On the venerable Day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed. In the country, however, persons engaged in agriculture may freely and lawfully continue their pursuits; because it often happens that another day is not so suitable for grain-sowing or vine-planting; lest by neglecting the proper moment for such operations the bounty of heaven should be lost.[13] Despite the official adoption of Sunday as a day of rest by Constantine, the seven-day week and the nundinal cycle continued to be used side by side until at least the Calendar of 354 and probably later.[14] In 363, Canon 29 of the Council of Laodicea prohibited observance of the Jewish Sabbath (Saturday), and encouraged Christians to work on Saturday and rest on the Lord's Day (Sunday).[15] The fact that the canon had to be issued at all is an indication that adoption of Constantine's decree of 321 was still not universal, not even among Christians. It also indicates that Jews were observing the Sabbath on Saturday........ Nor God, nor Jesus Christ changed any of the ten commandments in any place in the Bible, but a pagan sun worshiper roman. We keep the commandments to please our heavenly Father, because we are saved by faith, not by works, but faith without works is dead faith. Shabbat is a commandment, one of the ten words given to Moses, if we despise it doing whatever we want on that day, we are committing sin, and if we keep Sunday we are not obeying the commandment, because God's instructions are specific. Why? Because he is God, he is the Creator, the Most High. Torah was given to all Israel, to be kept as part of the covenant between God and Israel, but Israel was a mixed congregation containing even people from Egypt, and anybody who fears God and obeyed God's commandments (one law for the natural and the foreigner (Exodus 12:49 KJV [49] One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.) and Numbers 15:29, Leviticus 24:21. God gave the covenant to Israel to bless all the earth, not only one or two tribes, because we are saved by faith in Jesus Christ Messiah, but blessed by obedience. bible.com/bible/1/exo.12.49.KJV

    Overall your message is good, but you tried to connect teachings that don't connect 1. You did well to find a church that was praying for peace in Israel on 10/8. That definitely is an indicatr at how closely the leaders are following scripture. It is a shame that any church was not praying for the peace of Jerusalem when I am confident that most of the underground Christian church in Iran were. (Look for videos about them). 2. Shepherding... That's a loaded term in modern day American Christian churches. The very scriptures you used to support proper governance in the church have been used to create terrible cults. Research that as well. You are right that there should be better governance in churches and some "mainstream" denominations have that to an extent, but in some churches I have been in, that governance has been less spiritual and more of a facade for the pastor to seem accountable, or only responsible or the practical (business) functioning of the church with no real ability to counsel and make the pastor accountable. The history of the Christian church (esp. Roman Catholic) laid the groundwork to how the "church" lost it's ability (and probably the desire) to "shepherd" or govern people because of the abuses of those in the church who used their positions for personal gain and not according to scripture. And the governing, as you read, is to be voluntary, not compelled. We are to submit to authority, but authority must never compel the submission (because that isn't submission, it's subjection). Where I felt like there was the disconnection is that having good, scriptural church governance doesn't really relate to churches being passionate about supporting Israel. I don't agree with the comment that you were taking scripture out of context. And I agree with what you say overall even if I don't believe the thoughts were well connected.

    As a Christian I find it hard to believe in a God who is abstract and far away from human beings. I love a God and also loves me and interacts with human beings. A Go of who eats,touches,heal sand feeds man. Jesus exactly did that and has profound meaning of religious faith.Christiamity is give and take narrative means so much meaning and understanding which generates to love and give to others service.

    Many of the things you say are out of context and wrong. Bible understanding require hermeneutical analysis. Meaning you have to have proper interpretation and then you make application. You’re using Old Testament scripture to apply to 21st America. Check the scripture regarding women teaching Gods word!

    • @TogelTr
      @TogelTr 4 місяці тому

      Old Testament scripture contains the word of God, and the word of God is eternal. Some parts of that scripture do apply until the end of time... so what you say is not entirely correct. A lot of OT about Israel is being fulfilled now and some are even not yet fulfilled, and they WILL BE FULFILLED because God is truth and faithful to His words.

    Interesting as always! I found it interesting that your principal for biblical interpretation, as you stated, was to find in the New Testament the passages that find their fulfillment in Torah. I approach it 180 degrees the opposite. I look for that which is in Torah to find their fulfillment in the New. Is this a principal followed generally by Messianics, or is that you prefer to do your reading this way because perhaps you feel more at home in the Tanak? Either way, it’s all the Word of God and I quite enjoyed it! When you read about the spear being driven through the two fornicators, I instantly thought of Jael hammering the tent peg through Sisera’s head. I guess God really likes to drive home a point!😂 Also, when I envisioned Jesus tipping the tables of the moneychangers, I could see all those Tyrian Sheckles spilling on the ground, and wondered if any of those sheckles ended up as part of the 30 pieces of silver given to Judas. Keep up the good work Miri! Everything illustrated well the theme: “Blessed are the peacemakers, not the peacekeepers. Peacemaking is achieved by going to war.”

    Years ago I sought out the answer to why Jews don't accept JC. The answer is as clear as reading Torah (even in English) from the beginning as one would any other book; no skimming or skipping. No pre-conclusions. There's no JC. It's not a mystery, a veil or any other accusation of blind or evil denial (as the Greek scriptures accuse). Jews are commanded by God thru their prophets to NOT follow gods their fathers never knew. We're all told by God that He is not a man. God says human blood sacrifice (and a man lying with another man) are abominations in His eyes. It's not just one thing or a misreading of "hidden" references to JC. Everyone will be able to verify with their own eyes and experience the arrival of the End of Days (some markers): > Israel will be re-established (in whole) (Israel yet stood until 135CE, 100 years after JC) > swords will be beaten into ploughshares (end of war) > the knowledge of God will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea (no missionaries, arguments or convincing necessary) > rebuilding 3rd temple, sacrifices will resume, messiah will bring sin offering (b/c he is a man) (2nd Temple w full sacrifices stood for 40 years after JC) > ingathering of exiles (expulsion and naming of "Palestine" didn't happen until 135CE, a century after JC) > we're told 10 gentiles will grab the hem of a garment of a Jew (regular Jew) and say, "Take us with you for we have heard God is with you." Substantive, tangible changes to the realm will be witnessed and have not yet occurred. Further, God also said to not add one jot or tittle to the text YET the Greek scriptures are exactly that and well beyond into God-seeded virgin birth w a married woman! Recall, God severely punished the angels who mated w human women. Would God then go do the very thing He punished the angels for doing, to bring about a "son," which He had already stated time and again is Israel, His firstborn? Bottom line: God told us all, "I am alone. There is no other beside me." I appreciate your courage to put yourself out there. Best wishes.
