Quality of rev meter was similar to VDO on my old lotus. There was no meaning to wafch to avoid over rev but just listen tomthe engine noise.

Unsafe return to the track by the Escort. Perhaps even an unsafe release for it as well: This is obviously a sprint type event, so why would a car be deliberately started at a point where it will baulk a car during its timed run? Sprints and hill climbs are run with a safe gap between entrants to give them a clear run. If a following car catches, or meets with a spun car, they have been baulked and had to abandon their run, so should get a re run. It is a shame the camera car did not give more details as to the event he had entered.

No HANS device for the co-driver. I thought they were mandatory 👀👀. Oh, and he just threw his helmet on the ground 👏🏼👏🏼. I would never have gone for an overtake when a car is out of control on the grass, the only place it’s going is back into the narrow track, which is also next to a merge 🤯. Lucky there wasn’t a car merging too!

100% drivers fault in the camera car for trying to pass the Escort when he was clearly going to lose it once he'd overcooked it and got his arse end sideways on the grass. Both driver and co-driver acted like knobs in my opinion.

The chap reading notes says 'get him', therefore it was his fault, telling the camera car to go when clearly you can see whats happening as the escort slides back on track

Camera car's fault - no anticipation of what was going to happen when the car in front lost control - he was obviously going to come back on at an angle. You can swear at him all you like, but it's on you.
