Welcome to the UA-cam home of our East Nashville recording studio, Forty-one Fifteen.
Since our inception in 2012, we have been committed to helping people from all walks of life tell their stories. Here, we aim to welcome you into that in a few ways.
We keep a running playlist of videos that artists shoot in our space, both to support them and to connect you with artists beyond your sphere.
We also have our series Music City Listeners, a long-form interview/Q&A series between one of our founders, Dewey Boyd, and a host of guest engineers and producers.
For the budding engineers, we're just beginning a nerdy series of 30 second mix tips.
And for those affected by the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic, we have a whole separate channel called Homestyle Recordings.
Subscribe to us here to follow along. You are welcome here.

***About Music City Listeners***
If you are an engineer or a producer, or if you want to become an engineer or producer, this series is for you.
By way of true stories, we'll hear various answers to the burning question, "how do I make it in the music industry?" And you'll know that you're hearing true answers because they won't be tidy and contrived. You might just learn that you're not alone in your self doubt and your strained, long-suffering pursuit.
Gather round. Let's learn from these listeners who have gone before us. They have heard a lot, and they have some stories of their own to tell.

One of the best modern Christian records imo.
Interesting
Serban is such a legend imo - THE GOAT!! - I wish I could meet him... or at least find an interview or something!! lol
Right on, Paul...!
Russ and I played drums together through school.
Fun fact for those who never heard of this guy before: He helped (mixed) songs such as Montero, Blinding Lights and he had won 188 no.1 awards in albums and singles. He's also Romanian :)
This was awesome. The host was very good and Tim seemed to be very open to talk about all kinds of stuff. I enjoyed it very much, and took in a lot of very useful information. Thanks for doing this!
Volvo brought me here
Ah… probably not what you’re looking for unless you’re also a music maker 🤷🏻♂️
Russ Long, as in the Russ Long from Robot Luggage?
IM Pusher is a secret weapon! The stereo imager can cause some pretty unpleasant phase artifacts on some material so I tend to avoid it, but it's my go to enhancer on bus processing
Yes 🙌🏽! It’s a great magic bus processor
Were the Cooley's cool?... Probably yes
Oh, probably!
Limit mode sucks. Grab and release are nothing like a TG1. Another crap plugin.
Thanks Paul. Corporate greed. Has become the downfall.
Yeah, a lot goes wrong when you only look for ways to commercialize something. Making good art that’s sellable is a fine art in itself. Thanks for stopping by!.
Fan of the content!
Thanks! We are too 😳. It’s been a lot of fun to make and to hear these stories ourselves! Spread the word🙏🏽
