''Hardgroove'' (let me guess) - A tightly knitted evolution of tribal techno music. Contains polyrhythms, similar to that used in the tight percussion of harder,faster Schranz music, produced mostly from the late 1990's onwards. I guess that describes best what my ears are mostly hearing... Good mix by the way, regardless of genre. ;-)
Hello!! The "Hardgroove Sound", according to what I know, comes from some editions or remixes that Ben Sims released on his "Theory" label and later creating a sublabel with the same name. At that time, that sound was characterized by tribal sounds, lots of loops, and samples with a certain very peculiar sound, generating those polyrhythms you're talking about. From that moment there are two routes: The one from the Mr. Sims label reaching the present with that pure and characteristic sound (which I love) And that of many producers who, influenced by that "Hardgroove Sound", considered that they were doing the same thing. It may not be the most "pure" sound, but it is the "glue" that unites all the music that has passed (and will continue to pass) in front of me and I have considered it interesting to include in my tracklist. Likewise, it's hard to label everything. What line separates the Hardgroove (or what I refer to as such) from some releases of Hydraulix? I'm glad that my mix likes people who seem to have good judgment. 😊🕺🏼
