"We're revolutionizing the track landscape," said four-time Olympic champion Johnson, who is now a BBC athletics pundit. American Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, the Olympic and world 400m hurdles champion, has been announced as the first athlete to join the league. "I firmly believe that this is the step forward that track needs to take it to another level," she said.

"Before today I was a bit worried that I hadn't run under 10 seconds yet (this season), but it’s part of the game and now I have done it twice," said Jacobs. "In the heats I had a really good start, the last part was average. In the final it was the other way around, so now we need to put the pieces together."

“If you guys want to know what my motto is this year, my motto is 'I’m that girl,'” Chiles told a small group of reporters, including Olympics.com, earlier this year at a USA Gymnastics media summit held during the squad’s February national team camp in Katy, Texas. “I feel like I’ve proved enough to this world that I feel like I don’t have to express a lot. “I don’t have to change anything,” she continued, “and I can just be authentic to who I want to be. If you don’t like, you don’t like it. If you don’t want to ride with, you don’t have to ride with me.”

That is not good for the sport. They are getting the wrong adwise. Theys are paid millions to run on the tracks, not only to train. They are great stars and we will see them on the track.

Richardson told Olympics.com she was apprehensive ahead of 100m season debut, saying, "I would not be human to say that I wasn't nervous. But, as my coach said, use that nervousness as motivation. "Honestly, I feel great about my race. I feel like I'm continuing to grow and develop as a mature young lady, a mature athlete." Hodgkinson said afterwards, "I knew I was in this kind of shape coming into it, but it doesn't really matter when you're racing these girls - it's all about what they're going to do, what are you going to do... all that tactics and stuff. "I just learned to enjoy it. I think that's a bit part of it and I just can't wait to keep coming out here, producing good times, producing good races and just being consistent. And I think that final in Paris is going to be insane. But I just hope to be a part of it and really challenge for the top place."

gang sound a little bothered. If he wants to sell tickets and have the type of power that Noah does then do multiple events. We see as the he's the worlds best hurdler. We know that. But he need to venture to other events to prove his supremacy. Just like Syd, Just like Alyson, Just like Noah. And yes I know he was talking about the fairness of it all but in my opinon Noah has showed his capability of being versitle in his event of choice. He proved that by winning the 100m at Worlds. He earned the right to hop in on another event.

At a news conference on Friday before the Diamond League event the athletes were asked about their relationship. "If we take a step back and look at it, it's good for the sport," said Ingebrigtsen, citing the “hype and attention” around their rivalry and how it could generate attention. Kerr, however, says he doesn’t care about ruffling up rivals. “We are fierce competitors who both want to be the best in the world and that's not going to change,” he said. "I'm here trying to be the best in the world. I showed I could do that last year and I want to continue that pursuit. "If that annoys people or ruffles up competitors I am sure it will because the whole world is trying to do what I am doing. "I don't really care how this race affects anyone else. It's going to affect my season and my career and that's the selfish way that I look at my racing because it's an individual sport."
