An important piece of advice on the topic is to avoid saving money by choosing cheap and unprofessional panels or TV sets for digital signage. While we used these for a long time, we eventually replaced them all with an LG panel. The difference in image quality was, of course, significant!

I've never really thought about how people with visual impairments experience digital signage, but it's an important consideration! I think that the pictures should be contrasting and easy to read, and the font should be legible. A tool that can help analyze how someone with a visual impairment perceives my signs would be a useful tool! Thanks for the idea!
