Its much better to paint your roof with white paint or lime. After painting roof for 3 or more years you will get waterproofing due to mutiple coats of paints over the years

I would suggest you to kindly apply lome / chuna coating which is 10 / kg.on ur roof. You will experience above 10 degree temperatures difference, after applying it

Be careful while adding water to chuna, as reacts when comes in contact with water. Once the solution settles, apply the coat Apko fark dikhaga, sure.
