A nuthatch in the hand
Переглядів 234 роки тому
Feeding chickadees and nuthatches by hand in our backyard has become a daily treat. I recommend it for lifting the spirit and putting a smile on your face. This was a typical day. I walked out onto the deck and approached the spruce tree with peanuts in hand and in no time a nuthatch landed in my hand. I shot this on my phone by attaching it to a Gorrilapod and wrapped the legs around my arm. C...
Didn't know about the batteries doing this, so I was surprised when it wouldn't take a charge at all - this worked perfectly to get the battery to take a charge. A bent paperclip did the trick, I never would have known this! Thanks for posting this 🙂
now works!! tnks!!!
Damn... doesn't work for me and it's a new battery... never before charged...
Didn’t work for me
Keith, you rock brother. I had two batteries fail within 6 mos of purchasing. Fortunately, Adorama exchanged them without incident. Now years later two died completely, from non-use. I was trying to decide whether to purchase new batteries or move to Profoto, which I was planning to do anyway when I came across your video. I was skeptical but it worked like a charm. I can keep my money in my pocket a little longer and still get the job done. Thanks
Thanks for the comment. It's good to know that it helped you
This did not work for me. Tried three times. I am using a thin paper clip as I did not have hanging wire. Any thoughts?
It is perhaps worth mentioning, that the battery may not charge immediately after the reset. In my case, the first LED of the charger came on and then nothing happened. I measured the voltage of the battery inside and it was around 20V. It took the charger a few minutes to bring up that charge to around 24V and only then did the LEDs on the charger start progressing in the normal pattern. My just fixed battery is charging, but I believe it will be all good after this procedure. P.S.: I agree that the AD600PRO is a great strobe. Godox just skimped a bit on the battery electronics.
Thank you! Looks like it would be easy for Godox to put in a reset button someday...
Thanks, worked for me, I just used fine point tweezers for the job.
I wish it worked for me. :(
Super confusing because mine doesn't have a second hole for reset points; it just has one. So, I have to buy some sorta booster kit and work with the negative and positive terminals. So far, I'm outta luck! :(
Same here. I got confused when I didn't see the second hole. I got a little relieved reading your comment knowing I'm not the only one. Guess I'll have to find a different way...
Thank you thank you..had the same situation as @realmichaelteo...and it worked perfectly.
Thank you so very much!!! Super valuable information and it worked on the first try!!! Saved my photoshoot tomorrow!
That's great. I'm glad it worked for you. Enjoy your shoot.
Thanks for the informative video! I just tried 3 times and still no luck 😢
Is the method the same for ad400 pro? 😢
Thank you so much for this information. Battery is back to life!👍
These batteries are the biggest pieces of shit. I'm on my 3rd. They're asking for a lawsuit. $180 each for garbage. Just tried this, it didn't work.
Same here. POS battery bro.
It didn't work for me with this tip alone. I had to use a booster pack and use the cable on the + and - terminal and use the reser trick! I brought my battery back to life when combining these 2 techniques! 🥳
It would be a life saving tip if it works with my dead godox AD600Pro Battery a year ago. Thanks in advance for the great tip
Did it work ?
@@Grasseatereu Worked for me. A place I work at had one of these flashes in storage and hadn't seen use in over a year or more and the battery was clean out even though it was stored by itself. This trick worked. If it doesn't immediately work you could also try plugging in and out the power cord to the battery 5-6 times and see if that helps.
How can I do this with a WB300P ? Help!!
My knowledge is limited to this one fix of the problem with the AD600 but I wish you luck in finding a fix for your light. Thank you
Thank you very much , it worked
Thanks Kieth I did once years ago and forgot all about it. Now you’ve reminded me.thx!
Ty kindly. This lil trick just revived my dead battery.🙃😊
Does this work with the ad400 pro?
I honestly have no idea about doing anything similar with the AD400 Pro.
ad 400 pro has a reset button on it (inside). you do have to take it apart like the ad600 battery but don't have to use a paper clip. just simply press the button all the way to the right of LED lights on the battery.
Brilliant - you just saved me $180!
I also decided to disassemble my battery, but for some reason I have it a little different from what you have on the video, tell me what should I do? I have only one hole, in the place where the second one should be - some kind of strange white filling, I allow it to be opened, but there is no hole under it, on the contrary, there is some kind of convex object 🤯
It does seem that there is more than one version of the battery. Unfortunately I only know what to do with the version that I have. Sorry, but if you do find out how you can fix your version please let me know.
Worked like a charm!!! Thank you so much because Godox customer service sucks. Amazes me how everything breaks down so easily now-a-days…. It's exhausting.
My holes are soldered and there are wires attached to the two points, I have tried to place tweezers to the two contact points for approx 10 seconds and this did not work.
Sorry I couldn't help you. I am simply passing on information that was a big help to me and some others. I am not an expert. I wish you the best of luck in getting your battery working. Thank you for watching.
Same here… any updates?
@@msfaithwarriorany help ? I also have wires
@@daniangel9099 I followed this tutorial and it worked for me. Batteries working great now. Be very careful not crossing + with - . It is doable, but be very cautious. Good luck. 👍🏻 ua-cam.com/video/518LR36d24s/v-deo.html
Hmmm, I must have an original version of the battery as mine doesn't look like that on the inside. nowhere are there two holes?

It works you made my day thx !!!
Just tried this tip on my AD600Pro dead battery and to my amazement, seems to have worked! Just plugged it in and the green lights are blinking! 👍🏼👍🏼
Congratulations on your new channel! ! Looking forward to what's coming! !
Thanks Keith. I hope you guys are having a great time. It's minus 31 with the wind chill right now. Brrr
Thanks for the video. Do I need to desolder the wire coming out from those 2 points?
No definitely not.
Great info...thanks for this. Got my light working again.
Thank you so much! After not shooting with strobes for over a year, I had 4 of 4 dead batteries... This brought them all back to life.
You are very welcome. I'm glad I could help. It's great that you got 4 of them working!
Well that was the best Christmas card ever. Love it .
I think what happens is that the micro vibrations of the tripod are over compensated and the VC/VR/IS goes into an oscillation loop. Kinda the way a doorbell buzzer works or when a relay buzzes from trying to energize without enough power.
Hey Keith, great footage. Is there a way I can message you to talk about perhaps using this footage for a short film I am making? Thanks in advance!
thanx, really helped me
