Truely out of the world ... An arangetram for 2 hours,45 mins - my first thoughts were, one of those phoren parents presenting their kid's skills in alphabets. (I have seen a few.Been to a few. Invitations, top player from another field to hedge on, door gifts, food etc. Don't want to cite the nationality here) The first few minutes confirmed my feelings and I hung in there purely to mock at, what else is latest in these functions, these days. When Samyuktha started, I was in for a rude awakening...! Wow, what a rhetoric. Unbelievable for a four and half years experienced Ghatom player. I am no percussion artist, so, I can't critique on her play but, it doesn't require that expertise going by the instant appeal of her play. Ghatom, it is said is a upa pakka vaadhya in Carnatic music. Expertise like these at this tender age, will see elevation of the vaadhya itself in the years to come. She may want to touch base with Mrs Sukanya Ramgopal, who is another doyen in this field. Best wishes to smiling, quiet prodigy Samyuktha & her proud parents.

Those open bell mouths are not a good idea as they provide no filtration. I have a 1970 BSA which has the AMAL carbs with the screw on filters. Open carbs were typically used on race bikes to provide more air, but since the engines were rebuilt on a regular basis it didn't matter as much.

This happened to me just today, woke up to find three baby Wrens in my mailbox, same style as yours. Wrens fledge and leave the nest in about 15 or so days, so I've decided it's best just to let them do their thing and leave a note to the mailman to put the mail on the porch in a box. Once the Wrens leave and don't need the nest anymore, I will reclaim my mailbox and actually close the flap on it.

I got a big kick out of watching the whole thing, unedited. As a long-absent, but born-and-raised white South African songwriter, I never feel like what I am, or what I do, completely belongs anywhere. Nice as all those people seem to be, I'd probably be somewhat self-conscious at that picnic. Still, even though you may be far from Africa, Africa is never far from you, so I'd go (if I could), notwithstanding. Check my song out guys.
