Under the flickering lights, I tread through the echoing halls of this forsaken mall, where shadows dance with my footsteps, and silence clings to every corner. Above, the speakers murmur a song, a melody from a time long past, carried on the currents of a breathless wind, it weaves through the empty aisles, stirring ghosts of forgotten days. Mannequins stand, frozen in eternal pose, their painted smiles cracked, clothing faded and frayed. I walk past, a solitary figure in a landscape of abandoned commerce. Stores gape open, mouths of a bygone age, displaying relics of a life left behind. A child's toy, untouched on a dusty shelf, a reminder of laughter now silenced, of innocent joy that once filled this space. The song swells, a haunting lullaby, each note a thread of memory, pulling me back to crowded afternoons, to faces now blurred by the passage of time. It is a familiar tune, yet foreign, a bridge to a world that no longer exists. Escalators stand still, their steps collecting layers of time's indifference. I ascend, hand trailing along the rail, feeling the weight of years beneath my touch. Upstairs, the food court sits deserted, tables and chairs in disarray, the scent of meals long gone lingering faintly. In the center of this hushed expanse, a fountain stands dry, its basin cracked. Coins lie scattered, wishes unfulfilled, dreams suspended in a perpetual pause. The song reaches its crescendo, a bittersweet symphony that fills the emptiness, resonating with my solitude. Here, in this cathedral of consumerism, I am a lone pilgrim, wandering, searching for echoes of humanity in the remnants of a shattered world. The music fades, but its essence remains, a poignant reminder of what was, and what will never be again.

I have the feeling to be in silent hill 3 with that song : in one hand Mister sandman is still a sweet song as ever but the echoing voice make the things more creepy and heavy to bear (loneliness, sadness) I just love that song
