I often coach Overwatch and while I agree with the message of this video, I think the example you used is wholly incorrect. When target focusing any new skill you should expect your other skills to suffer due to how human mental stacks are. The issue is not recognizing the difference between learning and winning. Just food for thought.

I have a decent amount of time n the days that I can play, but I can only play 3 days a week. That is why I spend weekdays watching VODs and videos like this

2:05 Did you pull this example after watching every game of mine? Everytime I get back to Valo after a 4-5 day break, I excel. I win gunfights and get nice timings on enemies. But the moment I start losing 50-50s I focus on these, try playing more dm and focusing on aim and then try peaking everything to win every 50-50 (which obviously never happens) only leading to sadness. This leads to me not playing ranked at all and only playing Dm, Tdm and Range

Thank you for the yap, the part you mentioned about not lollygagging resonated with me, cause sometimes i think i dm too much instead of just playing comp, which is what would really improve me more (aim isnt really the problem for me, its often more the overthinking/the situations i place myself into that cause me to die or maybe miss a shot, but often ive still just blamed it on aim and thought “ah, more dm’s will fix everything”. This is something ive only come to realize semi recently and luckily im noticing improvement!)
