Greetings! Thanks for sharing. How did the shoulder strap fair after submerging it in water. I was under the impression that the leather strap should be conditioned first before using water. I want that pattern of LV and has stayed away because of possible staining.
On a new bag with fresh non patina leather, that is something that you would have to worry about. However, this piece has been very loved and the handle is a beautiful tan. I'm submerging the entire handle as well, so that there with be not watermarks and it drys evenly.

My interior cleaning method is upholstery cleaning spray. It worked really good. Just be careful if the there’s a color lining.

how do you clean the inside? i just got one and its pretty clean but id like to disinfect the inside :)
In this video, I simply wipe it down with a baby wipe. You can also add Downey scent beads in a mesh bag to give it a great smell! If the interior is really dirty. I suggest watching my video on washing a graceful in the bathtub with baking soda. Good luck!

No I have not. The dye is permanent, so you should not have to do touch ups ever.

That would really be your call. Baking soda will def help deodorize it. If you do the washing machine maybe place it inside a pillow case and make sure there are enough towels. So the groupers do get all banged up
If the paint gets over the metal logo is it easy to remove? I'm contemplating to dye a pair of Prada patent leather flats that has the "Prada" logo gold metal on it. Thanks!
If it’s just metal you should be able to wipe off using a baby wipe. You can also use a painters tape to cover that area. If it’s a logo with color on it. I recommend watching my Prada dye video because it did dye the logo.
I will never own a designer handbag so I am living vicariously through you. I do have a leather handbag, though and I need to clean it. Just looking to see if it's safe to do so. Edit - American washing machines are so weird! It's like the abyss.

It was hard! I steamed and then ironed. Not all came out, it’s gotten a bit better with use. Next time I will try dying it in a tube to keep it flat

To dye the zipper you can use angelus paint + angelus soft and that does not bleed.

yes, all of the items i use in my videos are in my amazon store front. I'd def use Rit for synthetic fabrics. If you are trying to save your leather, i wouldnt dip the whole bag in the hot pot, just use a dabber to apply. The coach leather cleaner and condition would 100% work.I'm not sure you would wand to use the saddle soap, it works best on natural, undid leathers.

HAHA, Well I did work for LV and I would always tell my clients, "Off the record" get the coach leather cleaner and moisturizer. They make a great product and unfortunately, LV does not make one for the public to buy. It works very well and I use it all the time!

removing a scratch is not possible unless its light and just on the surface. Try moisturizing, to even it out

I personally think that gloves are big on me and just get in my way.
Does painting a different color ruin the value if at some point you wanted to sell?
Yes, when a bag has been altered in any way by someone other than the company, it would be deemed not authentic. However, a bag like this was already stained and had very little value. By dying it, it makes it wearable again
The patina is darker, albeit even, which is what a lot of us are trying to avoid.
Unfortunately, you cannot "avoid" natural leather getting darker. It is natural for untreated leather to patina over time. Keeping the patina even on all parts is what keeps the bag looking beautiful! :)
@@preluxeOf course, I’m aware LVs vachetta darkens. I own several myself. But unless the leather is discolored or uneven like on the handles, then I probably would’ve left the rest of the leather alone and just addressed the handles. Actually I add handle covers to protect/hide any blemishes.
Saddle soap is a no no for me. It darkens leather permanently
