Переглядів 98 тис.4 роки тому
In our first video, Bry covers how to set up a thriving and enriching enclosure for your Giant African Land Snails! The subspecies we cover is the Achatina Fulica, but with the relevant research you can apply some of the information in this video to other subspecies. With the help of Lychee, Goji & Sloe, we cover the both the basics of care in your setup & also ways you can give enrichment to y...
You know owning these things is illegal right? Like it’s a federal crime. They are incredibly dangerous to humans and can carry a lot of diseases.
Judging on her accent she is in the UK. They aren't illegal there. Only releasing them into the wild is illegal. Even in the US people in the pet trade keep them but you will get in trouble releasing them or selling them Edit: A lot of people also catch their Giant African landsnails outside in areas where they are invasive and keep them. Id argue they are doing the environment a favor by catching them and keeping them indoors
I am a new owner to a GALS, this video has really helped me so much thank you ❤❤
Loved it!
Thanks for your wonderful video! Lots of great information and you're clearly passionate about caring for your snails. I'm having a few young African snails moving in tomorrow and this is great for knowing what to expect and get started :)
Do they make alot of slime? My daughters tried keeping 2 snails that they found outside and within 2 weeks the container was so filled with slime it was disgusting. We released them where we found them.
I feel a whole lot better abt my snail set up after watching this and seeing I have everything u said 😭
i was searching for snail recipes😦.........well uuh
my state doesn’t even allow these guys but this was a fun watch 🥲💔
What heat mat do you use ??
just wanted to say, at 1:42 the video shows your snails and i see white bugs, those might be slug mites as mine looked the same and did the same, they go on the snails body and in sucking blood,so please get them treated,if im wrong correct me
I kept my giant land snails at normal room temp. Even in winter they were fine. Lived many years and had lots of babies. Never had head mat or thermostat.
Oh and as a treat mine loved a small dish of warm porridge made with soy milk or water and NO SUGAR!
I know this is an old video, but i am ready to get a wooden repiterra terrarium and paint it with varnish so its waterproof for an albino land snail im getting in 2 months, the terrarium is 60x30x30.
❤ hi just seen your video. Wow thank you so much x
Can you please help me ? My snail has a large white lump come up on his head .can you offer any advice please 🙏
I’m about to adopt 2 snails from previous owner (been bred in captivity) what’s the risk of rat worm causing meningitis?
your videos are very interesting and useful, I would like to see more
good vidéo 👍
omg i love snails, but im not a fan of mites and woodlice 😫😅
Please could you share information on where to purchase this snails.
Nice informative video! My son wants a snail for his birthday. Do you have any recommendations for good uk sellers where I can get a couple?
This was a very useful video thank you
About the cuttlefish being thrown away what about all the other little bugs in the enclosure if they go on that cuttlefish will they get thrown away too?😢😊
Although i hate snails, this is interesting fr
Such a good video
Hi, loved this really informative video. I help keep my 6yr old Daughter's Africans and garden snails. Is there any more knowledge you can share regarding snails? I get very flustered when we handle them thinking that they will make us ill if we don't wash our hands really well after handling them which puts a downer on handling time. Can you advise if I can relax more when handling them. Are they as dirty as I think they are. I don't want her getting ill from handling them and touching her face without washing thoroughly afterwards. Please help :)
those bugs that clean the poop, do they just breed on their own or do you need to replace them every once in a while??
How can I get some snail
How to get rid of snail eggs , Step 1, gather the eggs in a bag with some sand, Step 2, bury them in the sand somewhere, step 3, make sure it is safe, with leaves over the spot, step 4, make sure you Don't bury them in a farm or a market
Imagine if you were one of the eggs
😢😢😢😢😢now the eggs are not going to have a chance to live 😭😭😭😭😭😭
... that's kinda the point?
I heard giant African land snails live for up to 25 years, is this true?
Cool
Thank you! Great video!
I’ve been begging to know this information do Captive bred African snails still have the possibility of giving humans diseases?. I have the set up I just don’t wanna play a risky game 😅
Instead of the bone can I just give it a powdered supplements on its good or eggshells?
Do you know anyone in the U.S. that raises GALS? I've been scammed once already and lost $170.00. I like the Albino achintena (my spelling sux) or as long as they will grow into the really big snails. Please let me know.
They are illegal in the U.S.A
can yo do a garden snail please
❤❤
Please make more videos I absolutely love the two videos you made
I heard that Achatina fulica has too many parasites😢😢
DANGER... I am terrified of how unaware people live. The giant African snail is not only an invasive species that seriously affects farmers and ecosystems around the world, but it is also a vector for the transmission of very dangerous pathogens such as rat lungworm, a nematode that causes eosinophilic meningoencephalitis, I mean, a worm that eats your brain!. Having it as a pet is a great irresponsibility. You have to read the news, at least!. See what the United States government says: www.fdacs.gov/Agriculture-Industry/Pests-and-Diseases/Plant-Pests-and-Diseases/Invasive-Mollusks/Giant-African-Land-Snail
In case you didn’t know … she’s in the uk and if the snail did escape it would die because of how cold it is
Typical Americans! always thinking they’re the only country in the whole damn world….
Would you maybe consider making a document with everything you need to know about African land snails with links on where to get their stuff? I really want to adopt one so a ''manual'' would be really handy.
loved the video!
Love this thank you! Will you be making anymore videos? I hope so!
please please please make some more videos about all your animals. Your two videos are so great.
