Recently changed my transmission oil the shop ordered and OTR transmission oil for my d12 2016 Cascadia i asked them why you didn't order the Detroit they said we have been putting these to people's truck all the time none them had bad transmission. i called freightliner to ask the price for a bucket of Detroit transmission oil they said 570$ so i also went with the after market that the shop recommended me which was 180 a bucket OTR Transmission full Oil synthetic from fleetPride. Is it ok or do i have to do the next transmission oil change early and put Detroit in it?

If the mechanic is not lazy,he can prime and evac whatever air and truck will start without any problem,Paccar trucks,you turn on the ignition switch,leave it on for 30 seconds or less and will prime itself and start right up.

Damn you guys got a team of guys jumping on one truck and repairs. In my shop I have to do the PM by myself oil change, fuel filters, air filters inspecting bumper to bumper, brakes, tires, leaks, EVERYTHING all this in less then 2 hours. Then after have to work on my write ups.

He’s talking about some Freightliners those came with no fuel water separation filter. So you have to drain the water from fuel filter then the truck won’t start until you pump almost thousand times. But this mechanic is saying that there’s easy way to do it without explaining much. 😡
