I have had mine since late Spring and since I do Tunisian and Tunisian mosaic almost exclusively so they got a lot of use as sampling hooks. I still prefer my Knitters Pride Gingers (and bamboo as secondary for second WIP) and have Lykke Indigos coming for a second good wood set. I do use Moment swivel cords with them--oh, BTW, the Ali Express have swivel cables too but they are not my favorite hooks. I use DK and Sport yarns about 90% of the time so use similar sizes a lot and don't love those sizes in these hooks--I would say they are fine--but not my favorites.

I love these hooks. I purchased two sets so I can do double ended Tunisian crochet. I'm currently working on an afghan called Puddles of Love by Design by Diligence. It's much easier with these hooks than the plastic ones I had been using.

How do you compare these Aliexpress to Addi hooks? I love tapered hooks! The best tapered Tunisian hooks I tried so far were Addi, their heads glide into stitches like butter because they are narrow/flat! But that wonderful "flat/narrow" head shape only comes with hooks 5 mm, 5.5 mm and 6 mm! Smaller and larger hooks are regular tapered shape. Addi does not have swivel cords either, which is a shame because swivel cords are phenomenal and make a huge difference if you work on a larger project.

A new "golden" version of these is coming out on July 31 st and it has a titanium in the coating of the hooks.

If you did see Toni's review, she noted that the cords do swivel. The cords are not broken. They are supposed to swivel.
