How long is a hide good for before it starts to slip if hung in a garage in cold weather.

Why u need a hacksaw?

Interesting way, we usually cape at the shoulders and pull the hide off.

Learned the screw driver trick doing euro mounts. Really pops the hide right out of the base of antlers.

Does this hurt the deer? Because I dont want to hurt the deer.

much appreciated this video because I have only done Euro's it amazes me how much smaller the bodies are on these southern WT's compared to Alberta deer.

Great video. Never seen this done. Highlights just one of the steps your taxidermist does when preparing your mount.

If/when the opportunity arises, could you do a video on skinning the deer when still on the body? I tried it once and butchered the arm pits!! Now I'm nervous about doing it on my own. Maybe point out some tricks of the trade if you will so when we bring a hide to the taxidermist, we don't bring a butchered hide lol. This was an awesome video with great info!
