Fix for Tesla door stuck, will not open.
2020 Model Y (but applies to the Model 3 or any model) door had been slammed shut too hard, pulling the handle would make the window roll down, the door would open an inch but get stuck. Here’s the solution.

My new client wanted to get his newer Tesla Model S looking great and wanted it to stay that way. I fixed a bigger area of concern without any sanding. The painted surfaces were compounded with Oberk Cut then polished out with Oberk Polish. Suntek PPF was installed on the entire front clip. Um thank you so fucking much. Had my kid slam the door like a fucking gorilla. This was the problem fixed it in two minutes. Tesla wanted to charge me $600 to come fix it un fucking real.
This worked for me too. I just pushed it a bit hard without fearing of it breaking. It worked.

Worked like a charm. Had an Uber passenger slam the door and had this exact thing happen but the door wouldn’t open at all. Used a pry tool and it popped open, then panel just needed to be smacked and it fixed it all. Canceled my service appt set for July 30th because of it.

I have a 2021 ModelY and this happened after my door was slammed very hard. Thanks so much for this solution. I have an appointment for Tesla to come and open my door for $406. I will try this. Hopefully it works for me too. It's still stuck after using pry bar.

@wikked98 I couldn't get the door open, but when the technician came out, he was able to push the door open. He pushed the door so hard that he fell out of the car. I was charged only $19.50 instead of the quoted price of $406.40. What a relief. He confirmed the door panel being stuck in the door jam and advised me that I could replace the door panel if I was unsatisfied with the new crease. I can live with the minor crease and the door works fine once he pushed it open.
