no they lied, you shouldn't have to go out of state for a seminar, they should tell you that upfront at the Power of Age festival with their ticket and when they call, the vacation vouchers and tablet can be mailed

@@lalo2641 I don't have transportation to go to the Be Free Protest. I heard about the bible museum and wanted to go with my church home but missed it when they went a few years ago. I wish the Be Free Protest organizer provided transportation or shuttles from the BWI airport to the protest because I live in Baltimore city and could take the lightrail to the airport.

IKR they're the ones going to hell not that guy that shooting in Hamburg, they ought to be glad it wasn't more ex JW's coming together, and I heard from another UA-camr that the Watchtower is upset that churches were having a memorial service for the community in support of those at the Hamburg shooting, that really shows how evil the Watchtower is for them to not want real Christian churches to help out, I feel like taking my Afro wig and Stop the Shunning tshirt and protest all over the country.

Yeah don't go, I wouldn't go either, they're a scam and when I reported them to the Better Business Bureau they wrote long letter lying covering up their recruiting practices.

@@joshy08_31 I know that's right, what gets me is how they target folk at fairs and festivals, ask folk to travel out of state for a workshop lying on the phone saying you won a free trip knowing there's no free vacation, they need a class action lawsuit against them and more news exposure to shut them down.

@@blessedcrystalministry I agree 100%. I only filled out one of these cards in a mall because the lady gets paid based on how many signatures she gets😂 I am cool with her so I did it to help her out not expecting to be called. But once I saw your video and other videos about this not going.

@@joshy08_31 wow I didn't know they get paid based upon the number of signatures on those cards that's even more the reason not to go, that's shady as hell, those cards make it sound like a real free vacation like a drawing prize, I went to a Power of Age festival in Timonimum Fair Grounds in Maryland and signed a card not expecting to be called either

Of course the governing body of JW didn't because my dad's still an elder in the cult. Its really pathetic and sad how sexist and even racist the governing body is against black women. They know they were wrong in baptising me at 14 and then disfellowshipping me at 18 years old in the 80s and now that I'm 52 yrs old still disfellowshipped since 1988 never reinstated over 30 plus years, the governing body and the elders of Baltimore Central Congregation where my dad's still an elder still prejudice set on permanently punishing me for being an ex regular pioneer youth. I still have PSTD and nightmares today from the trauma of being still shunned by my family, my parents, my only sibling sister, and annulling my baptism wouldn't change their hearts but it would bring some type of justice for the sexual and emotional/mental abuse I endured in the cult as a child and teenager being born into the cult.

The way the governing body operates, it manages to induce our jw family members to isolate us socially and to believe that in doing so they are being loyal to Jehovah. So I learned to respect that position of my JW family members. It happened that, last year, my mother and my sister who were jw, passed away. I couldn't live with them when they were alive and now that I can't anymore. This pissed me off so much😠 For this reason, I did research on the official jw website on the subject and on a justice website here in Brazil. The governing body wins most lawsuits against ex jw, disfellowshipped or disassociated, because it claims it has religious freedom to disfellowship and ostracize its faithful. The key to winning the governing body is just that: religious freedom. That's because, according to the governing body, the only way we can get back together with our family members is if we "return to Jehovah." You can see that no matter how much time passes, the only way presented by the governing body for us to talk to our jw family members is this requirement to "take the necessary steps" to get back to the kingdom hall. While this does not happen, we remain isolated by determination of the governing body (as a form of coercion). Believe me, for every Jehovah's Witness family that exists in the world, there is also a disfellowshipped or disassociated member. If we apply for readmission and become Jehovah's Witnesses again, then, as if by magic, our family members who are Jehovah's Witnesses will talk to us again. But this demand to go back to being a jw also violates our religious freedom, in accordance with article 18 of the universal declaration of human rights. My opinion is that we shouldn't worry about whether our family members are wrong or not in the way they seek to please God. And yes, we must question in court why the governing body demands that we return to being Jehovah's Witnesses (and to what they classify as a "religious organization"), so that only then can we regain our family ties with relatives who are jw. Now, if there is this imposed obligation to return to being JW, then this is a direct affront to our religious freedom of not wanting to be a Jehovah's Witness anymore. After all, we are free to profess any religion or even no religion. But, in article 18 of the universal declaration of human rights, social and family isolation is not included as a form of punishment for those who stop attending a certain religion. I decided to follow this line of reasoning 🤗

gratidão pela resposta🤗 Tambem sou desassociada e já cheguei a pensar em anular meu batismo para ver se meu filho JW volta a falar comigo🤔 Ja sofri e chorei muito, mas, agora estou mais tranquila em relação a tudo isso. Da maneira como o corpo governante age, consegue induzir nossos familiares jw a nos isolarem socialmente e acreditarem que ao fazerem isso estão sendo leais a Jeová. Então aprendi a respeitar essa posição dos meus familiares JW. Ocorreu que, no ano passado, a minha mãe e minha irmã que eram jw, faleceram. Nao pude conviver com elas quando eram vivas e agora que não posso mais mesmo. Isso me revoltou muito😠 Por esse motivo, fiz pesquisas no site oficial jw sobre o assunto e num site de justiça aqui do Brasil. O corpo governante vence a maioria das ações contra as ex jw , desassociadas ou dissociadas, porque alega ter liberdade religiosa para desassociar e ostracizar seu fiéis. O ponto principal para vencer o corpo governante é justamente esse: liberdade religiosa. Isso porque, a unica maneira de conseguirmos voltar a conviver com nossos familiares, de acordo com o corpo governante é se "voltarmos para Jeová". Pode observar que, não importa quanto tempo passe , o único modo apresentado pelo corpo governante para que possamos falar com nossos familiares jw, é essa exigência de "dar os passos necessários" para voltarmos para o salão do reino. Enquanto isso não acontece , permanecemos isolados por determinação do corpo governante (como forma de coação). Acredite, para cada familia de testemunha de Jeová que existe no mundo, tambem existe membro desassociado ou dissociado. Se pedirmos readmissão e voltarmos a ser testemunhas de Jeová , então como num passe de magica, nossos familiares que são testemunhas de Jeová, voltarão a conversar conosco. Mas, essa exigência de voltar a ser jw também fere a nossa liberdade religiosa, conforme o artigo 18 da declaração universal dos direitos humanos. Minha opinião é que, não devemos nos preocupar se nossos familiares estão equivocados ou não, na maneira como buscam agradar a Deus. E sim, devemos questionar na justiça o motivo do corpo governante exigir que voltemos a ser testemunhas de Jeová (e para o que classificam como uma "organização religiosa" ), para que somente assim possamos recuperar nossos laços familiares com parentes que são jw. Ora, se existe essa obrigatoriedade imposta de voltar a ser JW, então essa é uma afronta direta a nossa liberdade religiosa de não querer mais ser uma testemunha de Jeová. Afinal somos livres para professarmos qualquer religião ou até mesmo nenhuma religião. Mas, no artigo 18 da declaração universal dos direitos humanos, não consta como forma de punição o isolamento social e familiar, para quem deixa de frequentar uma determinada religião. Resolvi seguir essa linha de raciocínio 🤗
