We dive into the imagery use, sports teams and brands that use native mascots as well as give our opinions on the matter. It is a very sensitve topic and we understand people do have strong feelings about this. We ask that you go into this with an open mind hoping to learn and understand something about American Indian usage in the mascot role.

    I live in NYC and I can totally relate to Doreen. I ended up in a mental health hospital at age 11 feeling very similar to how she felt. Whether we live on the rez or in the inner cities we all are going through the same things.

    I used to live in Laguna and that time, they had no resources available for people's situations such as this. This is a blessing. I enjoy seeing stories of Laguna. I lived there in late 60s, early 70s. The reservation has certainly changed for the better.
