Andrea Seveso plays with Tremonti soundcheck WINNER (09-02-2013)
2204 is a 50Watt Amp. The original had 6550 power tubes.
Man, I haven't listened to Images & Words in forever! You absolutely nailed that solo. Well done my friend.
They were great guitas, I tried one in the them when the new Music Man came out, the Ibanez felt a better, after many years I tried the second iteration of that Music Man JP6 and get it, but that Ibanez was really great.
letting some art and colour into your live is never bad. considering prices i regret not getting that used jmp back then for 800... i missed the used reb beach they had in the shop for 400 by hours... and went with a used natural mahogany rg with qm pus. prefered the playabillitiy to the jmp. BTW: i prefered petruccis sound after he switched to earnie ball, fatter.
I hoped you commented a bit more on play-ability. How it compares to a modern premium ibanez guitar, based on the same model with offset dot inlays? Given that it's hard to get one this days, maybe I could get a premium and invest on making the changes to get close to it.
Nice video bro! Just followed you on IG and UA-cam, waiting for the lovely preset
The solo's was so amazing...😮
The Holy Grail, unbelievable!
@@zsoltperei I’m very lucky! This is one of the best guitars I’ve ever tried
Great voice, excellent guitar playing, congratulations!
Thanks man! Really appreciate it 🙏🏻
Dude. With that axe fx 3 you'll get the same tone even if you're playing a 40 bucks beaten up brandless piece of wood with strings. Maybe just changing the pickups for better effect.
@@phabi0 I don’t think so. Actually I can feel very clearly guitars nuance. I have from very cheap to very expensive guitars and every single one has its own voice with the fractal as with real amp.
@@andreaseveso that's not what I meant, I mean the axefx has a tone matcher, so in the end you're able to achieve the same result. Of course you may have to tweak it for each guitar's nuances, but you don't need that specific Ibanez model to get that tone.
Cool!
@@CounterflowEntropy thank you! 🙏🏻 in my page you’re gonna find two more solos!
No amount of hype will make you play and write like John Petrucci back in the 90s.
True!
It's incredible how many amazing guitar riffs/solos he wrote then. Before the internet too. Humbling
@whatisanamelol he also was in his 20’s back then. This alone puts him on another level
@@andreaseveso Absolutely! You covered his solo really well mate, very well done. No hiding is the best way to play!
Spectacular playing! Bravissimo.
Grazie infinite 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hi @Andrea Seveso, I've followed you on Instagram & subscribed to your UA-cam channel, may I have your Fractal Patches used in those solos ? what is the next step ? Thanks in advance.
Thanks! I sent you everything 🙏🏻
Fantastic tone.., is this Axefx III or Fm III please ?
Thanks mate! The precise answer is at 6:50
@@andreaseveso thank you, was not sure 100% my english is very bad aha
@@ProgKey no worries! Mine ain’t perfect ether. I’ve used in studio the Axe FX 3 into the UAD apollo x8 and at the music shop I’ve used the FM3 straight via USB
OMG is one of my favourite guitars of all time ! what a sound man !! ❤
Thanks buddy! I really like this guitar, I’ve never been an Ibanez fan but this guitar changed my mind
Nailed the solo's well done! Love this guitar. Great playing !
Thanks mate! This guitar is phenomenal
@@andreaseveso yeah it is. I got the N4 padauk. You're correct. It screams out percussive playing. I like your bumblebee cover as well because you play it correctly by backing off the gain a little and palm mute some of the notes. It actually does require feel for this piece and you do it well.
@Stringzippy wow thank you! I really appreciate it 🤘🏼really happy that you got the dynamic!
12k EUR ??? LOL
Yep sir. This is the price to pay. I didn’t price it 🤷🏼♂️
I picked up 2 JPM90's over the last few months, that solo was the first thing I played on them!
Wow man! That’s crazy! So happy for you. Enjoy them and play the sh** out of them. Unfortunately today’s market it’s becoming collectors only
Good stuff
@@CJJC thank you!
With out beard you might look alike ola englund 😅
Omg you’re right 😂
Only €12k, or I missing something?
yes, it's very pricey but it's coming from a guitar shop, not a private transaction. It's still available
Show de bola, podia fazer uma versão em português tb 😉
at least in Italian, I know nothing in Portuguese
I'm crazy about this guitar, man!
I feel you! I've never been an Ibanez lover but this guitar changed my mind! I just don't like wizard necks 😂
great playing man!
thanks buddy! really appreciate it!
That guitar is so beautiful 🔥
It is!
Im speechless...WOW!!!!!
thanks man! really appreciate :)
What a killer player ! 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks buddy, really appreciate it!
Amazing guitar!!! I thought you played Pull me under 😂😂😂
love it! actually I was about to play it but I switched to The Spirit Carries On instead.
JAJA sounds like nintendo bass
Sempre figa quell'Ibanez, grandi performance!
l'adoro! onestamente non ho mai apprezzato le Ibanez in generale ma questa mi ha fatto totalmente rivalutare le made in Japan

Thanks buddy!
This VST made my mixes sound soo much better
Totally agree! They nailed it ✌🏻
You do no high cuts typically and just adjust presence and treble?? Sounds awesome man
Thanks man! Are you talking about hi cut in the cab block?
I once had an Axe Fx III. Amazing unit! I really shouldn't, but I'm waiting for Axe FX IV. No guarantee, but an Axe FX in the same form factor and with the same features as a QC, while still keeping the quality hardware components would make me immediately part with my money.
I see your point! I’m enjoying what we have today and not thinking on what’s probably gonna come next. I really don’t like the form factor of QC though.. too many switches in a little space increases the error factor. But to me the most important one.. that AC plug. On fractal units the AC is internal and it’s been designed and cooled properly. On QC is noisy and who knows what could happen in open air gigs with sun directly on it.
@@andreaseveso For sure. That's a good point about the noise difference. I wish I had not sold my unit. I still love watching firmware update videos, because I'm always blown away by how good Fractal sounds. They are so dedicated to making the best and accurate tones. FX are among the best as well.
It’s true when this new Cygnus 3 came out like wow literally if they were like 70% there to actually feel Using the ir s and just the main outs frfr it feels 100% there Nothing else can do what the fractal does
It’s crazy! To me fractal rules the game. Getting the right tone in no time is priceless. Also the effects are incredible!
Ciao Andrea, video davvero interessante!
Ti ringrazio molto! 🙏🏻 ho ancora molte cose in cantiere, vediamo come andranno 😁
Great video!
my man!
Hey buddy, which 7-string passive pickups would you recommend for hard rock? Not quiet metal. Tuned to b standard, drop a#, drop A. Thanks so much!
It’s a matter of what you wanna achieve. What guitar do you have? My PRS is quite dark sounding and I love having a bright set like the Holcomb. On a bolt on 7 string guitar with maple neck I would go with the ragnarok by bare knuckle if you like ceramic pickups. They sound very good on 7-strings guitars. Also I like Nailbomb on 7-strings guitars
@@andreaseveso it's a bolt-on Ibanez. Maple neck mahogany body
@@selimyenahc3184 aftermath, nailbomb in the bare knuckle family. If you like mid forward and hi chime could be worth try the Seymour Duncan Nazgûl (ceramic - high output) or the Seymour Duncan Pegasus, is a bit more scooped though (alnico V - mid output)
for hard rock the silo's from bareknuckle imo very very dynamic pickups the output depends on how hard youre hitting really
@@flufficornss nice catch! Curious about those actually
Che bomba di suono! E poi hai un proprio un bel tocco!
Grazie mille Davide! Apprezzo tantissimo 🙏🏼
🤘🤘contenuti interessantissimi e come sempre qualità super
Grazie Davide!
Most 5150's i've heard have a very slight roll off on the highs due to older caps and resistors that have aged over time and lost a tiny bit of sparkle. That's the way I can usually tell them apart, but to me the high roll off isn't a bad thing and it's nothing that can't be done in post on the 6505+ anyway. Tl;dr they're both amazing.
That’s interesting! I’ve never experienced the older caps sound, or at least I’ve never paid enough attention. I have a Mesa Boogie dual recto rev F from 93 which sounds massive and it is very present in the hi end spectrum. I’m wondering what could happen with new caps. I will make a video about it maybe
@@andreaseveso I mean unless my ears are wrong it's the tryed and tested way i've been able to spot the difference on these A/B types of vids pretty reliably 😅 it's fairly subtle and something a casual listener wouldn't probably notice, especially without good speakers and it isn't really noticeable on a live cab, mainly in the recorded sound
@@Tamajyn69 yes! On the live cab is not noticeable, that’s why I always test amps with the recorded sound. I have an isolated room for that reason. The 5150II to my ears sounded a bit more harsh (ironically) and compressed but could also be because of the JJ tubes vs Ruby tubes in the 6505+.
So it likely depends on if you have an American made 6505+ or a Chinese made 6505+, and that's entirely because of known QC issues when Peavey moved production to China. Granted, things can happen in the US production as well. The 6505+ is a completely identical schematic to the 5150II, they had to rebrand when EVH left Peavey and started working with Fender. Granted, these are tube amps, so there is variance even between one 5150II and another 5150II, likewise a 6505+. Even plugging into a different outlet can make a difference. But if any electrical component is actually different, that is a QC issue, not a design decision.
Yes, there are small differences but not that big to justify the switch, or at least for me. I have clients who swear about the greatness of the 5150 when they see it but they're playing with their eyes and not ears (and that's also the point of my video). My 6505+ is American made, with that being said could be the reason why they are sonically the same, even though one has Ruby tubes and the other one JJ tubes. 2002 vs 2012. Thanks for commenting!
Bombaaaa💥💥💥💥
Grazie Davide!
Riffs machine Andy strikes again. The nickel back riff is just 🔥 Oh I was going to forget… THEY SOUND THAAAA SAAAAME ❤
My man ❤ yes, they sound the same!
Still sounds fake to my ears. Bring on the real bass players!
In the mix I think it's not a concern, or at least not for me! Bass players can still be useful to share the studio bill, looking at the bright side!
I want more about those guitar ambient sounds 😍
Deal!
