In game the knights need a whole supply chain for weapon and armour where Arabian knights are hired from a mercenary camp for gold so they're weaker but easier to get and the walk speed makes a difference

Arab swordsmen are cheaper and faster, good against archers. Crusader swordsmen are slower and require more time and production lines to be trained. Naturallly they have better stats

​@@insansaleh879it took them nearly 200 years to drive out the crusaders and they were largely unable to win pitched battles. Large part of why the Crusades failed was because it was economically unviable to stay when raiders constantly burnt their fields and attacked their trade routes.

you mean the crusades that lasted for centuries and the crusaders repeatedly recaptured the holy lands? and eventually stopped the crusades due to cost issues? Arab armored soldiers are technically less good, they have less protection zones, their swords are not made to penetrate European armor. So basically, yes, if you put a European armored soldier against an Arab armored soldier, with only a 1v1 fight at the same time the European soldier will almost always win.

​@@agrippa5643 Anything they can do assassins do better. They're even cheaper, perform better vs knights/swordsmen and can mass up just as fast.They take as many xbow shots and the invis+speed helps them vs ranged units anyway. And then theres monks. Nah, arab swordsmen are a waste of res.

Ассасины хороши и бесспорно очень мощные, но в тоже время они и ватные до ужаса, я делал атаки чисто ассасинами они либо быстро умирали либо быстро убивали всех, мне кажется армия из 100 арабов надежнее чем из 100 ассасинов

Assassins would do more damage before going down. Arab swordsmen have nothing to justify the cost.

@@psssshhh7730 Assassins have Bonus damage on armored Europeans. But they are prey for every archer/crossbowman 10 europarchers and 10 pikemen kill 10 assasins and 10 arabarchers.

@@bensimon8699 You're ignoring the invisibility - arab archers can take a decent amount of arrows, but they're visible and slow. Assassins are faster and can get very close before they start taking fire. In the most extreme case vs crossbows, arab swordsmen only take more hit to got down. At that point its better to have assasins since the can get closer before taking aggro.
