Hello, we have a problem with the z45/25j because it doesn't have a fast drive. We have two of the same platforms so we replaced the ALC 500 boards. When we replaced them, the platform has higher speeds. Please help where the problem could be. Thanks. Best regards.

@@jaimevasquezpacco5234 first you can get the service manual off genielift.com. It sounds like you either do not have the boom raised up to the level to let it extend or you have a bad limit switch and the boom thinks its not high enough

I may not be under standing but are you saying the primary boom is coming down before the secondary boom is fully all the way down which is normal. or are you saying the primary boom is coming down before the secondary boom is fully retracted?

If we have a light on L18 and no light on L9 on the pcb board it will tell us if we have an issue with park brake and service brake pressure switches/wiring.
Great video. I have a Genie Z-60/34, giving me some trouble. When I touch the foot peddle the 2 boom flow control is energized, without doing any other function. I have gone through the normal checks re-calibrating the joy sticks and setting ALC 500 to all the defaults. On the ALC 500 board the light for the flow control shows on when the foot peddle is depressed, however on the WEB GPI it shows that the flow control is not on. So my question is there a hardware problem (short, relay stuck, etc. in the ALC 500 board) or is it a software problem( an IC misinterpreting information). and reinstalling the firmware would solve the problem.. Also all of the controls on the ground unit work perfectly fine.

Hi love you vid, it has helped me understand lots about the programming side, Thank you.. I am a new tech to this and was trying to adjust some values.. I now need to reset the board on this S65 and it keeps telling me ( An error has occurred in the script on this page).. If anyone can steer me in a direction that may help would be great.. If their is a discussion group I can join please let me know I have learnt some things in the short time working on there and I would like to assist other and hear the problems and solutions they may be having..

look up the wiring schematic on genie and power it up with power and ground then contact up with web gpi to make sure it is powered up right, then program

Thank you for your great videos and sharing your knowledge - Im and electrician at a college campus - we have a 2008 Genie S-65 and the platform joysticks stopped working - service company changed both sticks and recalibrated - now s-65 wont drive or turn wheels - they say its the board now ant wany 4200.00 to replace - cant i just buy the board and the web GPI software and a rs232 cable and download the genie software onto the new board (or existing board)?
Lets start from the beginning you can go to genie’s web site and download the service and parts manual (and the smart parts look up has pictures of the part) it has a lot of good information. It sounds like the joy sticks are losing their calibration and calibrating the joy sticks is in the manual and easy to do. Hopefully they used genie factory parts because the cheaper parts have this problem. The other problem is the connector that plugs into the joy stick, if it is a flat black connector that is the old one and were prone to problems when they get some age on them like yours has. The other connector is a grey square plug, you probably now have adaptors to go from the wiring harness to the joy sticks. If you can recalibrate and it loses calibration after awhile it could be the wiring harness or maybe the board your decision the wiring harness is cheaper and more prone to problems if it is the older one and the new one will come with the updated connectors, on the other hand if the board has corrosion, the clear coating they put on the board is peeling, turning white the board mite be having problems. To finally answer your question if you order a new one form genie it will come programmed if you buy one form say Ebay having webgpi would give you the advantage of you can just program it your self and I have a video on how to do it on my channel.
First - THANK YOU! I got WebGpi running on the platform ALC500 and the interface shows a red "Not Calibrated" box for all the valves on the boom 1&2, propell...all 3 joysticks dont function. I calibrated them and they show OK - I cant find a procedure to calibrate the valves - the board shows calibration codes for the valves - 23-17, 33-17, 43-17, 53-17 - the book says "calibrate valve thresholds" but doesn't say how... Can you help me? PLEASE?@@liftguy9198

Thank YOU!! Just did this for the first time and I’m out in the field, success!!! Genie sent the board with the wrong programming and held the board for 2 weeks to program it 😂 . Video is greatly appreciated

Most computers will just find it but the adaptor should of come with a disc or you will have to go to you adaptor manufactures site to find that

HELLO LIFT GUY ANOTHER QUESTION IAM OUT HERE IN JAMAICA S125 GENIE CANT EXTEN PAST 75 TO 80 FEET IT GIVE ME A SAFETY SWITCH CODE LSB8AS I REPLCE IT BUT STILL GIVING SAME CODE WILL THE WEB GPI LEAD ME TO THE PROBLEM
Web GPI will give you the state of the limt switches and when you extend it will show you the change in state. But there is two switches for the extend I believe one is the switch the other is a back up and the code comes up as the back up when it is the main. I would test the other switch inline with the one you replaced you probably find a problem with it.

Hello just looking for info in how to program a controller on a genie S80 it was previously programmed for a different machine, controller # 121765 is that possible to reprogram thanks
The S80 is ALC500 and can be reprogramed to any ALC500 compatible boom. You would need to figure out what to flash it to. If you are replacing a board that is having problems you could get the S0# for the software to flash to it. I will see about doing a video on it soon because it takes some explaining to do it
@@liftguy9198 Ok Thanks I'll have to look into it some more, the reason I asked is I have a customer with that machine and he had gotten the dealer out to reflash it and he didn't know how. I usually don't work on lifts but I enjoy figure things out like this and now people depend on it, So somehow I have to figure it out now
