I'm a player of Video Poker 30+ years, never heard anyone explain the game so well. I recently came across your video's because the $5 plus demon's played, very much enjoy watching. Deserves the name high limit name in the title, not like some others using it on $2 denom. We love Ann and her play, but also enjoy your decision making Steve and like to see more of your plays in video if possible. not many NEW high limit VP games played regularly to watch these days. in thailand for several months and no gambling here, ready to come back next month and bust loose, perhaps drive to harrahs cherokee i just learned about from Ann's other Video. Play how you want but You know 3 to the Royal over a winning pair is the wrong hold correct?
Hi there Mr Spicy, sometimes holding 3 to Royal is the right hold and sometimes holding the winning pair is the right hold. The general rule is hold the 3 to the royal when they are connected 10,J,Q or J,Q,K and hold the winning pair when there are gaps in the royal draw. That said, it’s about a 40 cent difference at a $5 denom either way. So sometimes we will draw at the royal even with gaps, when are feeling lucky. It doesn’t take too many successful royal draws to offset the 40 cent ER/EV shortfall. Thanks for watching and commenting. 😊
PS: When the winning pair is Aces, always hold the Aces over the 3 to the Royal. My comments above applied to Js, Qs, and Ks. Thanks again.

VP Pro, we just watched the entire video and there are no hands where either one is dealt a 10, J, Q off suit, so I’m not sure what you are referring to. However in general, in TDB, when dealt 10, J, Q off, brick, brick: the correct hold is 10, J, Q off (by a fraction: at the $5 denom would equal around 6 cents). Thanks for watching and commenting. 😊

Hey Joel, on this game, you can play standard Deuces wild for 5 credits or you can add the 6th credit and get a Double Double like pay table on all natural 4 of a kinds (that are not 2s, since 4 deuces is already a big pay in Deuces Wild). So as an example, if don't add the 6th credit, 4 aces with kicker pays 20 credits. If you had added the 6th credit, 4 aces with kicker pays 2000 credits. Thanks for watching and commenting. Steve

Hi, the extra 1 credit is to give you "full pay" on 4 of a kinds in a deuces wild game. Deuces Wild Double Double is the name of the game and its's a hybrid of Deuces Wild and Double Double. According to Wizard of Odds, it's a 98.7% ER/EV game (so a mediocre pay table at best). However, I like the game and have done very well playing it, but I'm sure the percentages will catch up at some point. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
I follow a few other channels. Others say that Holding kickers with the aces is only on triple double. But I always questioned that. I think you should also hold on double double too, since the pay junk is significant.
Hi, Holding the Kicker (when dealt 3 Aces) is the correct play in Triple Double and Triple Triple. However, in Double Double (or any other variant I can think of) you shouldn't hold the Kicker when dealt 3 Aces. It would reduce your ER/EV by about 5.5%. Harry, this is Ann’s husband Steve. I use DaVinci resolve to edit. In that program, it’s called adding a title, which essentially is a text filled portion of video. If you search it on UA-cam, you’ll find several videos on how to add text or titles to your videos. Hope this helps.
