Where’s the Ripp Ranch? I see you’re wearing a K-State been.
@@tomfey5296 we are in Utah! I took some classes at k state 😂
How does that aluminum stock trailer hold up?
So far so good. It’s a Wilson so really well made. We usually take the steel trailer up on the mtn.
Congrats on the new bale bed. I’m always amazed how you guys lead the cows along the highway. It makes me nervous just watching it. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
@@kathybrunson2390 it goes well when people slow down! Happy new year to you!
Hello
@@ButchLindsayUDC good to see you!
I've done this many times, I can't do it much anymore, getting old. I really liked your video, thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Another great video from the Ripp Ranch! Thanks as always for the great content
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Sure enjoyed the video. That new bale bed looks great. So easy to grab a bale, take it where you need it, and roll it out. Always improving the ranch, congrats
Thank you!! I appreciate your support.
Maybe the state would let you graze that weedy mess on the side of the highway 🤭
If the welds hold it is a 10. Good job!!
Agreed!
Felicity Quinn Adrien Davina and Lou wish you a merry Christmas🎄

I watched you visit with Matt and his wife on his channel. Was surprised to see you there. I made a comment that Karson never showed us the Redman mine/factory on his channel. LOL I would enjoy seeing your trips to other ranches, etc. Your channel is one of my favorites. I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas. Stay safe
Thank you for the kind words. I appreciate it!
Yes take us along on your trips
Here in Indiana we would need to use treated wood. It looked that was non treated, but your dry climate, treated may not be needed
@@donpampel3332 yes I think you are right you probably won’t need to replace these for 30 years. We only get 9 inches of precipitation. I could see how this would t work in Indiana
Yes every ranch experience is good to see
Thank you!
Great job on the fence Dax! 10 out of 10! Merry Christmas to you Karsen and family! 🎅🏼🎄
Thank you so much! Merry Christmas to you and your family too!
I actually enjoyed this video because i didn't have to watch horses heads go up in the air. The fence was 12 on scale of 10. If they would take a floppy disk and take the rust off the pipe then paint it with black rust stop it will last longer and look like you are proud of it. Tell them to put a row of pipe on the ground with 2X3 tubing iron for a header with 2x3 angle welded every 2 ft with a hole drilled in the upper side so you can put 2x6 lumber for osb and tin for a roof. you can pour a footing for each pipe by driving rebar on the post hole and leveling with a transit then all you have to do is cut the pipe the same length and the top header will be level. Also cement around the pipe helps to curb rust because you get some moisture up there. put a round cardboard form so the cement can come up above the ground level one foot. You will be proud of yourself. I know you are already but when you finish a project like that a mt dew taste's good. And yes take the camera with you on your world travels
Thanks for the great tips!
very different but cool video from the Ripp Ranch!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Great fence only thing we do differently is in Saskatchewan we space the board about an inch in between the boards to allow wind through. Some wind flow helps so a big gust doesn’t blow over the whole fence . Otherwise excellent design
Great info!!
Dax has good genes

Jack ran cows up Daniel's canyon and in 7 mile had a place in Grass Valley close to the mouth of the canyon
@@henrycolby4473 cool! We have cows up 7 mile!
It looks like Dastrops is where they found oil and I am sure my Dad rolled over in his grave when they did. He used to push cows from Sigurd to Grass Valley in the spring and back again in the fall. He worked for Jack McMillan in Sigurd

Yes sir!
question for Quinn: Did you tie that halter knot?

Love the future cowboys. Quinn sure knows his stuff. Think I see a hint of John Wayne there..
😂 he will think that’s cool
Thanks y'all, fun and informative video! Nothing like good friends..... still laughing about sweatpants and Crocs 😂
Isn’t he a hoot!
Its so sad whats happened out here in the west . I came out when I was about twenty . I am sixty seven now . Ranchers use to not have to worry . Use to be open range kinda of for hunting could cross a ranch to Blm property and other . But that got all ruined with irresponsiblity .and just plain vandalism. You ranchers all have a right to protect your own . Sorry this happens to you .
@@nancysmith-baker1813 much love!!
We had a ruff last week weather wise. lots of temps in the teens and very windy. Hoping to get a little rain and a bit warmer this week according to the weather man
That’s nice, the only problem is the weather man is over right 🤣🤣
ain't that the truth!!
Congrats on getting a new piece of land to run your cows on! Looks like it took a bit of work to get it ready but you got it done! Have a great week!
Thank you! It has been a lot of work I will give an update on them next week.

I bought HiSeas for my daughter & son in law. Lifetime warranty & they love them🙂
Are they pretty expensive?
For me a pair of Ridgcuts from Tractor Supply and I really like, they're going on year 3 now
Do they stay pretty warm?
I’m fortunate that a rancher gave me permission to deer hunt his property. I treat his property with the same respect as I would my own property. A few years ago trespassers entered the property and stole my deer stand and trail cameras, they also destroyed the landowners fence line. Trespassers make it much more difficult for responsible hunters looking to gain permission.
That is the truth. If you treat it with respect you will have the chance again!! Thanks for behind a good person
Don’t be sorry for what you’ve worked your entire life for. They need to call you every time they go on your property my opinion. I’m thankful for freedom and hopefully we will keep.
I agree thanks for the support

I grew up in utah my brothers have a cattle farm in emery county i miss Utah alot but now live in Texas. I just found your channel what county are you in?
Sevier county. Very close to emery!
Add a haynet to that horse ring and you'll eliminate a lot of waste and mess. You can attach it to the ring so you can just flip the whole thing over the bale.
Good idea
