Duo Remanence plays music using different combinations of the harp, harpsichord, piano, cello, and viola da gamba. The duo won the 2023 Beverley Hills National Auditions competition, and is based in Los Angeles.

"Remanence" comes from the Latin word remanēre, meaning "to stay behind" or "remain." It also refers to the magnetization left in a material after an external magnetic field is removed. In this sense, Duo Remanence rediscovers the magical remanence of ancient musical works, and infuses them with vibrant new resonance.
