70 AD was not the time and the way in which God established His New Covenant. The New Covenant, I believe, was established at Jesus’ last Passover when he basically told this disciples….next time you celebrate Passover, you will be doing it in remembrance of Me…My flesh and My blood, not animal flesh and blood. When was the next time they celebrated Passover? Not 70AD. He said, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” Did the Father forgive them or was the Father out to get them? The destruction of the temple in 70AD was not a vengeful act of God but the result of the Old Covenant adherents own failure to give up the old wineskins and embrace the new. What happens to old wineskins? You cannot put the new wine into them lest they burst, and God did not. Indeed, the very fact that God wasn’t there in that old wineskins was what brought about its destruction. The Holy Spirit is the preserving influence in the human body temples of today. And when it is time for our departure, whether as individual members of the body, or as the body as a whole, our bodies of flesh will likewise perish (or be changed).

Jesus stated His Kingdom is NOT of this world for if it was His followers would fight for it. Postmil thought leads to political chaos and mayhem. You, Jeff, have even stated you are seeking CULTURAL dominion. That is NOT the Gospel nor, the intended outcome of spreading the Gospel. Romans 8:29 is the Biblical, true plan of God.

Postmil ends in universalism and political revolt. God will bring judgement on this. There is much truth in dealing with the prophetic fulfillment of especially, Matt. 24, as it works out with 70AD. But, this is full preterism which entirely evaporates if Revelation is written AFTER 70AD.

Universalism is in full view here. Why did Jesus ask, "Will I find faith" when He returns? Because there is apostasy in a huge way coming first. Not, a massive ingathering whereby "all men are saved". This viewpoint will usher in the multitudes into the waiting arms of AntiChrist. It is the exact error the Jews made with Jesus: looking for a political savior whereby the followers all get wealthy and gain status/political power and position to rule over others. "Christian Nationalists" are already latching onto this preterism and gaining false converts through it. The fruit of this teaching is very bad.

OK, problem, I'm Post Mil myself but his preaching has a huge hole in it. The "Nations" as he defines them; didn't exist at that time. The Greek word there means a race, a nation, the nations (as distinct from Israel). I encourage all of you to look it up yourselves. I'm certainly NOT racist. I'm saying that the great commission is NOT about Christian Nationalism or anything regarding political power by men. It's instructing the disciples, soon to be apostles, to know the Gospel is for all people. The Apostle Paul goes on to explain this himself.

People seem to ignore that the Tares are bundled and burned first then the Wheat is gathered in the barn! I consider you my brother in Christ, and I'll pray for your peace. I've been studying scripture for a long time, and, I "land" on John MacArthur's understanding. I've studied this subject for years to adequately understand the truth of this Eschatological reality. Fortunately, I didn't get sidetracked with bad exegesis. Knowing that my Lord can return at any time, just strengthens my faith and purpose for ministry. Because of God's word, I have a renewed sense of urgency to reach the lost. I'm held responsible not only for what I believe and affirm in my own life, but what I cause others to believe and affirm in theirs. As an Itinerant pastor at 67 years old, I understand God's word by the Holy Spirit alone. My personal inclinations to wrongly dissect scripture have come to an end. My thoughts are worthless compared to God's word. I'm not interested in modern-day philosophies or the wisdom of this world. Please minister to the world, because the whole world lies in the lap of the Devil. 1 John 5. The world is led by their father the Devil, but "we" are led by the spirit of God, the word of truth. As for me, I've determined to know nothing among anyone, except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

But to you that call it a sin and condemn I would caution you to be very careful about what you call a sin. It’s easy to call the way of the Pharisee.

The internet introduces me too a parstor giving a sermon smoking a cigar....my neighborhood introduces me too rainbow flag, lghbt, abortion approving churches....i know where I get my spiritual food from... although in my opinion sermons on loneliness and depression would have more empathy delivered by somone who has actually suffered from these con ditions. ....most importantly the videos outside the abortion slaughter houses are a commendable way too spread the gospel.....

Having a cigar in his hand and smoking it and teaching the Word of God is being irreverent. Most times he preaches with his tattoos exposed . He stumbles the Christians who don’t know his past. DO NOT STUMBLE your weaker brother ! Get you act together and present yourself a respectable man of the Word I will no longer watch him A real shame that he lets his smoking addiction get the better of him !

I pray God would just tell plainly when. Why are the scriptures written like it's during our time? For exampke Days of Noah... so these days are not like that? My goodness.

What you describing as 'newspaper exegesis ' is actually ' newspaper eisegesis'. Newspaper exegesis is the correct way to show fulfillment of prophecy. Peter did newspaper exegesis when he gave his Acts speech at the temple. Peter basically read the headlines of the day and showed how they were the fulfillment of prophecy. When the newspaper reads like the Bible... something is probably going on. Don't alter the Bible in light of the headline (eisegesis) but see if the headlines match the Bible(exegesis).

Many many yers ago I joined the Worldwide Church of God headed by Herbert W Armstrong. It’s a long story. They believed in keeping all the Old Testament holy days and the sabbath on Saturday and the whole end time scenario of the beast and 7 years of tribulation etc. Anyway Herbert turned out to be a bit of a charlatan. The interesting fact though is Bobby /Fisher became a member of that church. Also Herbert predicted the end of the age would be in 1975 and then in 1984! You couldn’t make it up.

Any post-mil brother can enlighten me about the verse of wiping away every tear? I’m reformed and currently an A-mil, my question is if God promised to wipe away every tear then it is going to happen as He had ordained every single thing so that all things come to pass, in this sense, how do post-mil reconcile the promise of wiping away every tear with the ongoing reality that His true servants do weep, apostle Paul for an example, he cried and wept, in this sense, if wiping away every tear is a promise of God, then doesn’t it conflict with the Post-mil view on this specific verse ?

Post mill tries to make Adams mandate of dominion over limited things and turn it into a mandate to take dominion over everything. Adams limited dominion mandate was to be over the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth..

Post millennialism is a Dominion theology. Dominion was not lost when Adam sinned. What Adam was given to do is not what Christians are given to do. Paul was single and spoke to other Christians encouraging them to be like him. The unmarried can focus on the Lord's work. 1Cor 7:7-8 ,25-39.

If post mill is true why are the nations of the world so decided? Rev 20:3 says because satan is bound in the bottomless pit so he couldn't deceive the nations

Starting at 39:42 are some key statements! "This does not mean just because this was fulfilled that God doesn't pour His wrath out. ...why is the book of Revelation written to those 7 churches? Because it's a warning to them and a warning to us that what happened to Israel can happen to us as well!" However, we don't read anywhere in Scripture that there is a 3rd coming of Christ to destroy the earth. His Kingdom on earth is supposed to be ever-increasing, not having an end. From what I'm witnessing in my own life and of those believers around me, the judgment of God on the elect in the new covenant seems to be an ongoing thing to purify the church so that the Tree of Life is in her midst as healing to the nations. If we read the book of Revelation to seek Jesus and understand His message, rather than as a prophecy about the future, we will discover the reasons to repent daily and overcome our sins. This will allow us to experience all the blessings that Jesus promises to the seven churches mentioned in the book, which are relevant both in this life and the afterlife. I'm afraid not heeding His warning to the 7 churches will result in His judgment carried out each in our own lifetime.
