How DTF & ICC profiles work together

I'm sure your here because your curiousity killed the cat (or however the phrase goes 😂) and are wondering what exactly an ICC profile is and what does it have to do with DTF printing. Well this video will not only explain ICC profiles in detail, but SHOW you as well!

O no! For just the blue to stop, make sure it's not low on ink, or clogged.

So you have the program acro rip? I have the sam e printer but my program will not work so looking to buy a new software but dont want to waste 300 bucks
When did yours stop working? I haven't done an updated video yet but I plan to, mine also stopped printing properly on it. When I tried Cadlink it printed fine but I couldn't understand how to upload my ICC profile for Cadlink so my colors were way off. I now, at the moment, outsource my designs. Id like to stick with Acro Rip for it is easiest to use in my opinion. Not sure yet what I'm going to do
I just set up my printer everything went good connected it put in ink the 2nd and 3rd light is still blinking...i tried to pull ink into the tank but nothing is coming out is it because i didn't use it yet? Thanks in advance
Regardless of if it was used or not, you can always pull ink thru tubes but if it hasn't printed once yet then there might not be waste ink to pull. I wish I could physically see what your doing. Maybe email me over videos and I'll see if I can help but can't guarantee it. My email is in my info of this video.
@SenZationalDesignsCreations thank you I got help via what's app she did it remotely...only thing is I want more white in in the back...everything prints great so glad I invested.
All DTF white ink needs to be shaken unless it has a circulator which will be more expensive. The color inks do not need to be shaken.
It has a circulator but if I don't shake it, it doesn't work for me 😔. I've done head cleanings where no shaking was involved and the white wouldn't show until I did my shake 🤷🏻♂️

Can a 13" wide roll feeder be used with thus printer
Unfortunately no. This is only an A3 printer, not A3+. So 13" is too wide.
I can use 13x19 paper, but unsure if a roll feeder can be added. They do sell one that is a roll feeder that I wish I had gotten. I do plan to purchase a roll feeder and give it a try.
Do you order your ink and film from DSV or do you use other? Wondering if it makes a difference like it does with sublimation to keep using the same ink.
I now order mine from Amazon (different brand than what DSV supply). You can check out the links to my Amazon storefront for what I get in the information area of this video.
Where do you order your supplies? What is the band transfer sheets you use?

It’s actually converted Epson L1800 inside. The covered the real printer with new covere. You could buy the real printer with cheaper price and convert it yourself.
I have heard this before. The only thing that I heard and see a lot with the converted 8550s is the film doesn't tend to take so people have to lay down a piece of masking tape across the film. Where with this printer I don't have to do that so I don't know how they fixed it so that these printers can take the film all the time properly.
have have you 8x11? i accidently bought it but cant get it to print it. ive changed the settings with no luck
This is the A3 version not A3+. So I can print as long and wide as 12". What do you mean you can't get it to print? See if I can help you out at all.

Hi there! Thanks for watching and supporting! Your pressure is a big one usually. What time and temp are you using? Hot or cold peels? Did you powder and cure it properly to make the entire image to look like a orange peel after? What exactly is happening? Your pressing and peeling immediately and nothing is sticking or do you wait for it to cool and it's still not sticking? I had "hot" peel film and it didn't work hot, so I just let it cool and then peel and it works. I have the heat press though that's automatic pressure so I don't have to worry about my pressure. I believe it should be medium pressure though. Look forward to hearing back and hopefully being able to help!
Never buy this machine!! They will not honor their warranty
I left a bad review on Amazon for the machine (after making this video) bc of an issue I was having and the lack of help receiving and they got back to me immediately. Sent me all the parts I needed to replace for free and videos on how to replace them. Have you tried that yet? What is wrong with your machine?
How about your humidity, where do you keep your humidity at?
The humidity is in the low 30s (32-34) typically.

Great video. Just bought this printer...newer version...the ink door is different so they're won't be any tube kinks. Great advice on the white ink. My first printing came out great...my second one (1/2 day later) there was no white ink printed...so I will have to go shake the bottle up and do a nozzle/head check cleaning. Thank you.
Awesome! Welcome to the DTF family! Glad to hear they changed the ink door style to avoid kinks. I'll be posting a video soon with what to do if your printer stops printing white all together (happened to me the other day and was insanely scary for this is my business). Stay tuned!
Can you use a tablet
Hi there! No, bc you need 2 USB port hookups to run the printer and the rip software. If you bought the connector that I had for my laptop and connected it to your tablet via charging port you could see if that works. Tablet would also need to be Windows based. Doesn't hurt to try with what I suggested but just be prepared if it doesn't work you would need a laptop at that point (or computer). Hope this helps!
